We met through Molly and Lukas. I asked Lukas to help set me up with a track teammate of his from SDSU. Jacob was the recommendation of both Molly and Lukas- he and Lukas were good friends. They gave me his contact info and we talked for a whole day. Then he ghosted me. Flash forward two years, and we met in person for the first time at the tux fitting for Molly & Lukas's wedding, and after bringing him some Piotter sweet corn he decided to talk to me.
At Molly and Lukas's wedding we got to spend time together, although we were not dating at the time. We stayed up until 4 am the morning after talking, in the hotel. Shortly after, I invited him to come visit for New Year's Eve and we started officially dating.
Since then it has been lots of weekends at each other's houses- lambing time, planting time, chicken butchering, county fairs & sheep shows, harvest time. There are many evening FaceTime calls. Lots of time with Brook (Jacob's dog) too.
Jacob proposed to me over Thanks-mas at my house this past year. We were taking family/couples photos and when it was our turn I noticed he seemed nervous. When he dropped to one knee, I figured out why (don't ask him about the video of our proposal though!).
We are building a house near Jacob's parents- with room to build a new sheep barn. But first, we have a wedding to celebrate with our family and friends!
