The initial attempt to "slide in the DM's" didn't look great.

However, some quick wit and a decent joke led to a first date.

Our first date started at a beer garden in the Wynwood Arts District of Miami.

The night progressed into an unexpected birthday celebration at "El Patio" nightclub and may have even ended with a kiss.

The hour drive between us didn’t slow down our adventures.

We quickly began spending our weekends at Marlin’s games, Heat games, and exploring new restaurants and bars.

Not exactly sure when we became "official,” but it quickly became clear that we were a perfect for each other.

The pandemic changed a lot for us, and I'm sure everyone else too.

We went from living an hour apart to living together in Deerfield Beach and working together at St. Ambrose.

There was no question that life was better together.

Our relationship has taken us from downtown Miami, to Deerfield Beach, and now we've made our home together in Pompano Beach.

The Cape Florida Lighthouse is the oldest structure in Miami-Dade County and an iconic place in our relationship.

"She's survived 200 years of erosion, hurricanes, and attacks from native Seminole tribes."
