We met through mutual friends of ours, Hannah Reviglio and Bryce Vaughn. We spent our spring break with one another in Manzanillo, Mexico. Kelsey spent that week getting to know Jordan's friends from Boise, Idaho. As a group we spent time going on morning runs, singing karaoke, riding horseback, and enjoying churros. We ended this week as friends and walked away not knowing if our paths would cross again.
Yet, Kelsey continued making an effort to visit Idaho. Kelsey spent many weekends making the drive from Reno to Idaho. She spent time visiting with her friends who happened to be part of Jordan's friend group. Just so happened every time Kelsey visited Idaho, she'd run into Jordan. We enjoyed many football games and nights in downtown Boise together.
Thank you to Jesus, our paths crossed again. Our first date was spent axe throwing and Jordan stalling his car on our way there. During our senior year of college we did long distance as we both worked on finishing up our bachelor degrees. We spent much of our time on FaceTime and making calls to one another.
Kelsey brought Jordan home for the first time in Feb 22' for our Super Bowl party. Kelsey took Jordan to Tahoe for the first time and introduced him to his first ever In-N-Out hamburger and Pizookie. In May 22' Jordan and Kelsey graduated from two different universities. We celebrated this month as graduates and Kelsey met Jordan's family for the first time.
In July 22' Kelsey made the decision of moving to Idaho. Kelsey had always wanted to live in Idaho, but this gave her more of a reason to do so. Jordan and Kelsey fell more in love being closer to one another. We pursued each other and found out that our grandparents were both from Roseburg and knew one another back in the day. Oddly enough Kelsey's dad's cousin lives next door to Jordan's grandparents.
Being in the same state has allowed us to explore Idaho's backcountry and travel to nearby states. We love going off-roading in the foothills. Jordan rides his dirt bike while Kelsey follows him on our quad. Together, we enjoy going to country concerts. Our favorite memories so far are snowmobiling in McCall and visiting Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Sept of 2024, Jordan asked Kelsey to marry him and she said YES! We celebrated with Kelsey's family and grandparents. They treated us to an engagement party and we shared the news with our family and friends. It is obvious that Jesus is working in us and we ask that you all pray for us as we step into this sweet season of marriage.
Love,
K & J
