Our Wedding

How We Met Kelsey and Nathan meeting was nothing short of fate. Nathan was a guy living in western Massachusetts in Holyoke and Kelsey was living on the other side of the state in Saugus. Nathan was visiting his brother Zach out in Somerville. On January 1st 2022 due to a cancelled New Years Day party Kelsey found herself out and about in Somerville. Nathan was out with his brother doing what they do best, grabbing a few beers. Kelsey and Nathan both found themselves at a small dive bar in Somerville named Sligo. Kelsey was attempting to get up and stand on the bar, as the bartender told her no, Nathan encouraged her to get up there on that bar. Now that is LOVE. Nathan was 24 years old, new to the fire department and living in Western Mass. Kelsey was 30, had just started her Masters in nursing education, working full-time and teaching for Merrimack College. One drink lead to another, and the rest is history. Nathan visited Boston the following week to take a bartending class and Kelsey met him every night for dinner. A lot of time was spent traveling the mass pike for both Kelsey and Nathan but they made it work. Kelsey and Nathan spent the next three years traveling and making memories. These places included Maine, Cape Cod, Rhode Island, Arizona, Florida, Puerto Rico, Curacao, Italy, Ireland, South Carolina and many more. Nathan is always keeping Kelsey on her toes, with hiking and even getting her to run a half marathon. Our Engagement After a cancelled trip to Florida, Nathan asked Kelsey to spend the weekend in the Cape. A nice relaxing weekend just the two of them. On September 21st, 2024 Nathan asked Kelsey to be his wife in front of both of their families. It was perfect! Our Future A little surprise came for these two on December 1st, 2024 when they found out they were expecting a baby in August of 2025! Although not planned, Kelsey and Nathan were over the moon to share this news with friends and family. This baby will be so loved. We didn’t think much about our future when we met at that bar on New Years Day in 2022. Living across the state from each other was not easy. But ask them what they love about each other and you will get the real deal. Kelsey will tell you that Nathan has this uncanny ability to keep her grounded, making every day feel simultaneously comforting and exciting. Kelsey, on the other hand, will share that Nathan has a special way of turning ordinary moments into incredible adventures. Together, they have discovered that the best adventures are the ones they create with each other and they feel so grateful for their love. Join us this December as we say "I do" and start the next phase of our life together.
