Although Kelsey and Luke have known each other since primary school; our story really begins in the summer of 2017 with the release of "Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1". This summer was the first glimpse of what would become. Kelsey and Luke spent the summer reconnecting while home from college, spending days canoeing down the river, spending time with the puppies Luke's mom was fostering; and reminiscing in the town they grew up in.

This summer came and went for the both of them, lots of fun was had, memories were made and friendships were strengthened; Kelsey headed back to the University of South Florida, and Luke went back to THE Ohio University. Kelsey didn't know it at the time, but this is when Luke began hatching his plan to marry her.

The years came and went, both graduated from college; Kelsey was now teaching in Tampa and Luke was going through Culinary School out in Boulder, Colorado. In his free time, Luke would message Kelsey, half-jokingly as they were good friends, half seriously, stating that he was going to marry her one day, how he already knew he loved her, and how he knew she was going to be a great mother because of the way she treated her students.

Granted, they were living 1,877 miles apart at the time; and to top it off Kelsey had a boyfriend. Luke knew in his heart that one day, whether that be next week, or next decade; he would marry Kelsey.

Fast forward a few months; Luke had finished culinary school, survived the first year of Covid, and moved back to Cincinnati. Kelsey had finished her second year of teaching, her oldest sister Sarah had just given birth to her first daughter Lennon, and so she decided it was time to move back to spend more time with family.

This is where the story takes a drastic turn; at this point in time, Luke, for the first time in 6 years, was in a relationship...and it was not with Kelsey. Luke decided that after 2 months of dating he was going to move to North Carolina with his new found "love". Kelsey had posted online she was all packed and moving back to Cincinnati, Luke saw this, messaged her right away and said, "Wow, you're not gonna believe this but I'm actually moving to North Carolina right now with "blank. You should've told me sooner!" Her response was, "lol, good luck, you'll be back. You're an idiot."

One month later, Luke was back in Cincinnati. two months later Luke had asked Kelsey to be his girlfriend, and 3 years later Luke proposed to Kelsey at Good Harbor Beach with their family surrounding them in Michigan. Everyone in attendance knew what the plan was, except for Kelsey, and it went perfectly. Just ask to see the video!
