HOW WE MET: Declan and I met at Mary Wilson's 28th birthday party in July of 2021, at Graze in Minneapolis. I would not give Declan the time of day and he will not let me forget it. Fast forward to September, where Declan crashed my early birthday drinks with Mary at the Hewing Hotel rooftop in Minneapolis. Mary pretended to go to the bathroom five times so that Declan could talk to me. At the end of the night, we took our first picture together!

FIRST DATE: Gersson Rosas, former President of Basketball Operations for the Minnesota Timberwolves, was fired, causing Declan to be 20 minutes late to our first date at Handsome Hog in St. Paul. Concerned he wasn't going to show, I called my brother Cody, who said, "just give him 10 more minutes." To my relief, Declan showed up at the restaurant a few minutes later blaming the breaking news.

NEW PUPPY PARENTS: In February of 2022, we brought home our sweet Vinny boy and quickly realized mini goldendoodles are a lot of work, but we just love him so!

THE PROPOSAL: Declan completely surprised me when he proposed on our way to a made up double date! We celebrated getting engaged afterwards at Red Rabbit in Minneapolis with our families and close friends.
