How We Met

On Memorial Day Weekend in 2015, I decided to go the the Crowne Apartments pool with a friend of mine in downtown Birmingham. At the time, I was 20 and a student at UAB. When we got the the pool, I was carrying a cooler that was pretty heavy. When I walked in the pool area, clearly still struggling, Dillon (19 and a UAB student at the time) came over and ask, "Do you need any help with that?" Guess what I said to him?! I SAID NO! I-n-d-e-p-e-n-d-e-n-t by Webbie &amp; Lil Boosie must have been playing in my head. At the time, I had no idea he was part of the group we were going there to hangout with. We spent the rest of the day hanging out at the pool and we all, eventually, went to eat at Acapulco on Green Springs. (Back when bean dip was FREE.) During dinner, I sat next to Dillon. Little did I know, I was about to start dating Dillon officially on October 8th, 2015.
