The ceremony is on the Army installation, so extra time should be allotted to get a visitor pass. Please do not wait until right before the ceremony to get a pass. While not common, there have been times the line is over an hour long! Pre-registering 24 hours or more in advanced is recommended to save time (although this is not necessary). You can pre-register at this link (Fort Benning | Gate Info). Register for a visitor pass not a special events pass. Even if you pre-register, you still must go inside the visitor control center to obtain your pass. The visitor center is open 24/7. Children under the age of 18 do not need a pass, unless they are driving a vehicle. You must have your social security number, and a real-ID is suggested. If you do not have a real-ID, you should bring a passport.
On base, oftentimes GPS will not take you to the correct location. If you are having problems finding the Visitor Control Center (VCC), you can use the google maps link above or download the GuideOn Military app (see app logo below).
