We first officially met on Memorial Day weekend at the annual Curry Camp out. Jarod was good friends with Travis and Kelsey was good friends with Tara. We both ended up at the Curry's place, and that is where our journey began. Little did we know how connected our families were in the past. Going back a few years, our grandma's were classmates and very good friends and our moms were also very close in age and even lived together in college. We had no idea how connected our families were when we first met!

It was a beautiful day in late October. Jarod suggested that we have a family get together and grill out at Thomas Mitchell Park due to the it being one of the last nice weekends of the year. We each called up some of our relatives and planned this special get together. We were having a great time, playing games and sharing many laughs. Kelsey had no idea what Jarod had been planning. After we finished eating, Jarod spoke up to get everyone's attention. Then he got down on one knee and asked the BIG question and of course Kelsey said yes!
