Jacob Hibler
Jacob Hibler - Best Man
Jacob Hibler was one of my many good buddies from Midland. We graduated together from Midland Christian, playing golf all four years along with Brandon Herricks and Steven Rice as well as making sure that we received our weekly intake of Kuos Chinese food. Jacob and I continued onto Baylor University where we spend late nights at the lake house singing to Bon Jovi across the water at the top of our lungs. He is a great guy that I know I can count on when I need something. Good west Texas boy.
Sweet Cathie
Sweet Cathie - Maid of Honor
Sweet Cathie is not only my mother but my best friend. There are many things that I could say about Cathie, however, to keep myself from typing a novel, the one thing I can say is, she is a fighter and a warrior. She inspires me to smile through any situation, no matter how hard, and she also inspires me to love my kids as much as she has loved me. Love you most.
Constance Atton
Constance Atton - Bridesmaid
I met Constance my sophomore year at Baylor University through a mutual friend and we have been inseparable ever since! When Constance is not busy being the associate producer of Fixer Upper, she enjoys photography (she's incredibly talented), traveling, showing me the latest youtube hits, and eating tortellini. One of my favorite fun facts about Constance is that she was born in France. When at the wedding, ask her to speak French for you. Its her favorite!
David Blackwood - Groomsman
David is one of my crazy cousins. He is one of the few men that I know who would give their shirt off their back to help another person out. I had the honor of marrying David to his wife, Stephanie, and now have beautiful daughter, Gracie. Many sleepless nights at golf tournaments and Easter family reunions have been enjoyed between David and myself. Good west Texas boy.
Baylee Blackwood
Baylee Blackwood - Bridesmaid
Baylee, Daegans sister, and I met about two weeks after Daegan and I started dating. I remember that night so vividly. Not only because I was so nervous about making a good impression, but also because she sang the song "Dream Weaver" to me and we ate the best cheese fries in the land. Ever since then we have bonded over the Dixie Chicks and our love for her sweet angel of a son. I am more than overjoyed to be gaining a sister when I become a Blackwood!
Blake Broadway - Groomsman
Blake is another one of my great cousins. He is part of the few that I know would do anything for anybody at anytime if he isn't working hard to create a good life for his wife, Kacey. Blake was the one cousin who made sure to teach me how to stand up to my other cousins when they were being punks. I had the honor of marrying Blake and Kacey a few years back and now he gets to enjoy my wedding. Good west Texas boy.
Abram Gonzales - Groomsman
I met Abram back in our younger years while playing Stangs club baseball and continued that relationship through Midland Christian. I remember thinking that he was the biggest and hairiest man until he quickly became the shortest yet still the hairiest. I knew that I could always count on Abram to talk about dumb girls with and our big dreams. Thanks for totaling our 4-wheeler. Good west Texas boy.
Brighton Charles
Brighton Charles - Bridesmaid
Brighty and I met the year going into our freshman year of college at the Cheesecake Factory (Thanks to Facebook and Hailey Sands). We were neighbors by chance freshman year and have been roommates ever since! Needless to say I love this woman dearly. She has worked more internships than anyone I know and she has also held more leadership positions than anyone I know. When she is not busy with school or work, she enjoys a vente iced coffee and a good political debate.
Cecilia Greubel
Cecilia Greubel - Bridesmaid
I have known Cecilia ever since the day she was born. We grew together as next door neighbors and have become closer and closer with each passing year. Cecilia is currently attending school at Saint Mary's in South Bend, Indiana. However, when we are able to reunite in California we enjoy drinking lattes near the beach, cooking, and perusing through Anthropologie.
Brian Grosse - Groomsman
Brian is the cousin that I knew would always be willing to do all the activities with me and get in trouble with. Getting to be Brian's younger cousin, I've had to chance to watch him become an amazing husband to Stacy and father to Crawford. I can always count on him to be there for me in times of need. Good west Texas boy.
Mikaela Morris
Mikaela Morris - Bridesmaid
Mikaela and I met in fifth grade at Portola Hills Elementary School, and although I don't remember exactly how we became friends, I sure am thankful we did. We made it through braces together, high school dances together, scary soccer coaches together, and even went on a mission tip together (Katie Purcell went too!). I think my favorite fun fact about Mikaela and her family is that they were a huge influence in my walk with the Lord and I am forever grateful for that!
Brandon Herricks - Groomsman
What to say about Brandon Herricks rather than one of the craziest good guys that I have ever got to be friends with. I don't know how many times he would have Jacob Hibler, Steven Rice, and I gut laughing at the dinner table during our golf tournaments. We had some great times riding around on the mule at 2 a.m. blaring Wagon Wheel by Bart Crow Band (the only good version) and belting out lungs out to it while varmint hunting. Good west Texas boy.
Dan Loftus - Groomsman
While attending UTD, I got the chance to meet Dan. There are no words to describe what kind of person Dan is. He is willing to talk to anyone to be their friend and casts judgment upon no one. If you see him at the wedding, ask what he thinks about Fixer Upper.
Kellie Nelson
Kellie Nelson - Bridesmaid
Kellie and I met the same way Brighton and I did, through Hailey Sands and the wondrous world of Facebook. We met going into our Freshman year of college and awkwardly decided to room together after chatting over lunch one afternoon. It was the best decision I made that year! Not only did she help me survive four crazy years of college, but she and her boyfriend are the reason that Daegan and I met. And we are oh so thankful for that!
Katie Purcell
Katie Purcell - Bridesmaid
Katie Purcell and I met in Jr High and she has been there for me ever since. I consider her to be an older, wiser sister of anyone she meets because she always helps anyone make the best of a sticky situation. Example. Senior year of college she made sitting left bench a fun position in soccer. She would pack snacks, play music, text her parents in the stands, and although this is not a proud moment of ours, she made it fun. And I think that is an incredible gift! Also, please notice our choice of dress freshman year Homecoming.... we are stylin.
David Parkhurst
David Parkhurst - Groomsman
David and I have been friends for as long as I can remember. I think the only reason I became good friends with him is because his mother adored that I would wake up in the morning while being a 7th grader and drink coffee with her at 6:30 in the morning. David and I have spend endless summers at the lake house in Possum Kingdom doing dumb mischievous things in Midland. Good west Texas boy.
Steven Rice
Steven Rice - Groomsman
Steven and I met back when we were young bucks playing select baseball and later moved into playing golf together with Jacob Hibler and Brandon Herricks. Oneself could never expect for Steven and I to be up to any good. There were countless times when we were reprimanded for being out in the halls of the hotels after "lights out" just putting down the long narrow hallways. Good west Texas boy.
Racheal Rosenthal
Racheal Rosenthal - Bridesmaid
Rachael and I met when she was in fourth grade and I was in sixth. While our parents would attend bible study in the down stairs living room, we would play in the game room just upstairs. And ever since then we have co babysat together, attended high school together, watched the bachelor together and continued our friendship through college. In our parents eyes, Im Little and shes Littler. But not so much anymore!
Hailey Sands
Hailey Sands - Bridesmaid
Hailey Sandals and I met in our Jr. high English course where our teacher would call us "Smart cookies!" Ever since then we have done life together side by side. We attended the same high school, the same college (sic em'), and even the same trips to Hawaii thanks to her wonderful family! I couldn't be more thankful for her influence on my life. She is the main reason I know of any music other than the top ten songs playing on the radio!!!
Nikko Velarde - Groomsman
Nicholas "Lit Candle" Velarde and myself go back to playing select baseball at about the age of 13. We were two of the more mischievous out of the Midland Christian boys group, I can think of many nights driving through neighborhoods trying to lose someone chasing up for something dumb that we did. I could always count on Nikko to have some dang good mexican food for us at 2 a.m. after our mischievous nights. Good west Texas boy.
Kelsey Stevens
Kelsey Stevens - Bridesmaid
Kelsey and I met one random night at Baylor because someone noticed that we shared names and hometowns and decided we HAD to meet! Thanks to them, we became close friends, and she even became my little in my sorority! Later down the line, we even learned that my God Parents and her parents were friends in church! Needless to say, its a small world and I'm thankful to have someone like Kelsey randomly pop up in my life!
Syd Telson
Syd Telson - Bridesmaid
Syd the squid and I met all the way back in Kindergarten. We have been to all of the same schools up until High school and it has been the craziest journey! Syd is my go to work out buddy, my go to eating buddy, and my go to adventure buddy! This woman literally always has a smile on her face and it is such a joy to be around her!
