If someone told me I would meet my soulmate working in a pizza restaurant in Sandy Springs, I would’ve said they were lying.
My neighbor, Ed Lynch, was the General Manager at Hearth Pizza Tavern in 2016. I had just come home from my first year of college and needed a summer job. While I waited for Mr. Ed to meet me for my “interview” inside the restaurant, I noticed this cute, dorky blonde boy rolling silverware at the back table with the other servers. Once I officially started working at Hearth as a host, Carter introduced himself, and I quickly realized how much he and I had in common. We were both going to Georgia State in the fall, so we naturally exchanged numbers so we knew someone on campus. Our friendship immediately blossomed and after he helped me escape a bad situation, I realized just how much Carter meant to me.
One day after work, we decided to go to Waffle House and he paid for my food. That’s when I realized it was a date and the butterflies really started. We talked all night in his car in the Kroger parking lot across the street and the rest is history.
We were together for over 7 years when we got engaged. He planned the most special surprise proposal in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and now Maine has such a special place in our hearts.
We were still just kids when we met, but we grew into adults together. We watched each other grow as individuals and we got to see our relationship grow as well. We watched each other graduate college, find jobs, make friends, and enjoy life. I personally couldn’t ask for a better life partner than Carter and I’m incredibly excited to share our love with all of you on our wedding day.
