Luke and I met the old fashioned way in 2023…..online dating! Before we had our first date we spent many hours FaceTiming each other, learning about our favorite colors, dream vacations, and our favorite foods. We ended up finally going on our first date at the Lazy Dog in Grapevine. Luke was very quiet and reserved where I was this awkward chatter box. Little did we know then the future that was ahead.

It didn’t take long for us to realize this was the real deal. I lived in Lewisville at the time and Luke lived in South Ft. Worth. (Approximately an hour apart) We quickly started spending every weekend together, and on the weekdays we would FaceTime every night and have movie dates on our laptops. I found myself every Sunday, just looking forward to the following Saturday so we could hangout again.

Early in our relationship I found myself going through a medical mystery. This took a heavy toll on my physical health as well as my mental health. Luke was always there, going above and beyond, never leaving my side while also being my biggest advocate.
That is when I knew this was the man I was going to marry.

Ever since then we have gone on many weekend trips, vacations, date nights, birthdays, anniversaries, and so many adventures together. Together we love antique shopping, trying new restaurants, biking, watching true crime, cooking, coffee shops, and any and all animal shelters. Now we live together with our two dogs (Gizmo & Finn), two cats(Olive & Rusty), and our chameleon(Ivy) just 5 minutes from that same Lazy Dog we had our first date.

Luke proposed to me on March 3, 2025 in Roatan Honduras during our cruise. He went all out planning this with his sister and a wedding planner in Honduras! He canceled our originally planned excursion and took me to this small resort that was decked out with white roses, blankets, lanterns, the whole 9 yards! It was the most beautiful sight to see and I’m so glad we got to have such a beautiful moment in such a beautiful place! It was the easiest yes I have ever said.

We plan to have an intimate backyard wedding in September, 2026 with friends and family and we cannot to celebrate with everyone we love!
