Our Wedding

26.2 Turns into Forever 

<p style="text-align: left;">On August 3rd, 2018 after a 12 hour shift of work, Kelsie drove three hours north to meet Kendrick in Big Rapids. They had known each other through their hometowns being close to one another but had never went on a date before. After a few days of spending time together and enjoying the area, Kelsie returned back to Blissfield. She was sad to be leaving but hopeful to return and to continue to make memories with Kendrick. Fast forward to a new job for Kelsie, buying a house together in Big Rapids and Kendrick being asked to donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. A friend was running the Chicago Marathon and was asking for donations towards MDA. Instead of donating, Kendrick had the brilliant idea to say he would just run it with him. Well, Kelsie wasn’t going to let him run a marathon alone so she signed up to run as well. However, neither of them had ever ran a 5K before, so signing up for a marathon was quite the leap. Months of training, sweat, tears and sore legs lead up to October 13th, 2019. After completing the full 26.2 miles of the Chicago marathon, Kendrick’s family surprised Kelsie and Kendrick and were there to celebrate as Kendrick got down on one knee and asked “Will you marry me?” Sometimes, things happen in life that we could never think nor plan for. On June 1st 2020, Kendrick was in a horrific automobile accident. It was a complete nightmare to be living through but it did create a deeper love that will be the foundation for their marriage and for that we are thankful. Although days and months have passed since this tragic day, the love and appreciation that Kendrick and Kelsie have for one another and for the Lord continues to grow. It is their hope that through this situation, they have created the stepping stones that will lead to a life together full of happiness, love, and patience for years to come. Our story is unique and has had its challenges but without them we wouldn’t be the individuals or couple that we are today. We are so grateful for everyone’s love, support and prayers on our journey and are looking forward to a day of celebration as we become one, as husband and wife with our family and friends. #PerfectlyTaylored <br /></p>
