Our Wedding

We met in college (HAWK'EM), and became friends close to our graduation. We both moved back home after graduating and did not keep in touch. Little did we know our story was just beginning. Close to a year after graduating and a whole pandemic, we both found ourselves in Atlanta, Ga. After a little help from social media, we reconnected. We went on our first date, and we both just knew this was something special.

We became official after weeks of talking and this was our first picture as "boyfriend and girlfriend"!

Our first year was filled with falling in love! We began starting a life together including new jobs, studying for exams for grad school and certification exams, and moving in together!

Year two included adding another fur baby, SO much travel, developing in our respective careers and truly merging our lives together! We went international, had our first family vacation with our parents, and continued marking destinations off our bucket list.

Year Two!

Our third year together was such a sweet year for the two of us. We finally moved somewhere we absolutely loved and still love today. We became avid sports goers, walking to many braves games, and even going to Pittsburgh for Matt's beloved Steelers (hence our second dogs name-Renegade). We went to many concerts, and continued travel, marking even more destinations off our bucket list!

Year Three!

Early on, we both knew this was something we wanted long term. We truly took our relationship at our own pace and enjoyed being together, knowing we were "it" for each other. After almost a year of discussing our next steps and what our future looked like, Matt FINALLY proposed. He really outdid himself and planned an entire SURPRISE engagement party! With help from some of the best friends a girl could ask for, Matt pulled off the surprise of a lifetime with the most important people in our lives there to watch. It was the sweetest and easiest YES!!

I have known Parys since middle school. We met playing travel softball together, where our dads ended up starting their own travel team and we immediately clicked. Parys helped get me out of my shell and showed me how to have fun. We played softball together all though high school, and even went to college to play softball together our first two years of college. We have lived together, acted like sisters, and truly have done life together. Parys has been the sister I always needed and has walked life beside me the good, bad and ugly. I am so thankful to have a lifelong friend like Parys for 15 plus years!

Ashleigh and I met at work both becoming BCBA's. Ashleigh quickly became such a role model to me and took me under her wing without even knowing it. We instantly had a bond, and she always knew just when I needed to vent, needed advice, or just needed a margarita night! She is a friend without judgement and always knows exactly what to say. Ashliegh has encouraged me and been such a supporter in my work life, personal life, and has been such a testament to a loving and successful marriage.  I am so lucky to have found the friendship I have in adulthood with Ashleigh and I am so honored to have her by my side.

Alyssa and I met in college, actually by accident! I am forever thankful I was put in the wrong dorm room for a few hours. We have been friends ever since! You know you are lifelong friends with someone when you willingly live in less than a 1-bedroom size room with someone, while both being in season for your sports and having the absolute best time!!  Alyssa is a friend you are lucky to have! She is selfless and the ultimate hype woman!! We always pick up just where we left off and never miss a beat!

I met Taryn at work, while we were both becoming BCBA's. She quickly became someone I looked up to and tried to model. Taryn has taught me true poise and resilience. She is one of the kindest people I have ever met, while being the absolute BEST time! Truly a girl's girl! She has the same love for travel and has shown me new places like Miami and Columbia! Taryn has been such a role model to me not only though our careers but in life. I am truly thankful to have Taryn as a friend and honored for her to be standing beside me!

I met KK in college and immediately knew this was someone I wanted to be friends with. After recruitment for our sorority, she became my "big" and we have been more like sisters ever since. KK has truly been there through so many life moments that I will always be thankful for. We have really gone through adulthood together. We have gone through college, jobs, relationships, living together, and now marriage and life together. KK has been such a great friend through it all. She is always an ear to listen without judgment and knows just what to say in every situation. KK has the kindest heart, and I am so thankful I get to take on this next step with her by my side!

I met Stevie at work really when life was less than perfect. Without knowing me from a stranger, Stevie was one of the first people to extend an olive branch to me. I was in a new city with none of my friends from home or college and Stevie really stepped up and befriended me when I needed it the most. Stevie is the type of friend you dream of having and don't let go of once you do become friends with her. She will listen and give advice but still be right there and down for any adventure I throw her way! Stevie is a friend I will forever be grateful to have and so thankful to be standing beside me!

Where do I even begin? Austen and I have been friends ever since preschool. He has always been there for me no matter what I am going through. We have literally been through everything you can think of over the years and through it all there is nobody I would rather call my best man and my best friend.

I met Barnhill in college and he was my roommate at Huntingdon College. He has seen me at my highs and my lows during this time and has never seen me any differently than I am.  I am so excited to have the mayor of Lincoln in my wedding.

Mac and I met playing lacrosse at Huntingdon college. After graduation Mac moved to Atlanta where we lived together for a year. There’s nobody I would rather sing karaoke with than Mac. I love you bro and can’t wait to celebrate this special day with you by my side.

Tyler and I met playing travel lacrosse in high school. I didn’t know anybody on this team when I first joined. Tyler being a defensemen wanted to be buddies with the goalie and accepted me as if I had been on the team for years. I love you brover. This one’s for Kevin!

Stephen Philip Dan the 4th is the second member of a group I like to call the GG. Sometimes in sports and in life you just need a good push and Steve was always that extra push for me. Nobody fought in my corner during lacrosse harder and stronger than Steve did. GG4Life

Sam also played lacrosse with me at Huntingdon College. We bonded over Kroger brand chocolate milk and Steelers games. I am very excited to say that we are getting married in the same year. Cheers to the best specialty duo the USA South ever seen.
