We met on Bumble, an online dating platform, in the fall of 2020 and the connection was incredibly intense from the beginning. We bonded over sports and our strong family-oriented mindset. After a few dates, we decided to go our separate ways. Adam said that I needed a dog (lol), but I think we both needed to make a few mistakes before we truly knew what we were missing.
They say true love has a habit of coming back to you and that is the case for our love story. In the summer of 2023 Adam messaged me on Instagram (as the kids say ‘slid into my DM’s') and the flame was ignited again. On July 26, 2023, nearly three years later, we made plans to go on a date at Poogans in Nexton and it was like no time had passed.
We spent months enjoying each other’s company at Top Golf, Charleston Battery matches, on the lake, and at home with our three fur-baby boys, Bunsen, Casper, and Paco. The two of us have experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows over the past year, but one thing has always remained, the love we have for each other.
In May of 2024 Adam and I planned a trip to Las Vegas to visit his brother Derek and hike Zion National Park. On May 24, 2024, Adam made reservations for us at the Eiffel Tower restaurant on the Vegas Strip and surprised me with a ring! Of course, I said ‘YES!’. Adam may not have won a jackpot in Vegas, but he went home with a fiancé.
We ended our trip with a few hikes at Zion National Park where we enjoyed the breathtaking views of its world-renowned sandstone canyons. It was truly a trip we will remember for a lifetime.
On November 1, 2025 we will marry each other in the presence of family and friends in South Carolina. We look forward to celebrating our special day with all of you.
Cheers, Kelsie & Adam
