Our Story

An Abbreviated Story of Us

The Invisible String Theory suggests that we are all connected to our person by an invisible string. You are in each other's life paths, even when you haven't officially met yet.

Leighton and I officially met when we were 16 in Coach A's health class during our sophomore year at GPHS, and of course, we immediately clicked. If you ask him, he will tell you he knew that he liked me on day one. If you ask me, I'll tell you it took me some time and convincing to get there, but looking back it was obvious we would be together.

Our LONGterm relationship started at 18 during our freshman year of college while he was attending Texas State and I was attending UTSA. My sorority was conveniently having a date night around the same time he was ready to be just friends, but I was able to convince him to make the hour's drive from San Marcos to San Antonio. It was a great first date that led to 11 years of many more dates, the best dog to ever live, a cat that can make himself cozy on any surface, a lot of growing up, a beautiful house with so much love poured into it, two more cats found in a wall, and FINALLY an engagement in 2023.

I brought up the Invisible String Theory because our relationship makes me truly believe in it. Because we unofficially met at 4. We made this discovery one night a few years ago while I was looking through old home movies and photos with my mom and came across a pre-k class photo. Not thinking anything of it, I texted and asked Leighton if he wanted to see it, and his immediate response to seeing it was "YO where are you sitting, because I am in this photo" and sure enough, I was sitting right next to him. Soon we will get to stand next to each other and say yes to a forever that is 26 years in the making.

We can't wait to see you there!
