Our Wedding

Our story began at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in North Carolina, where we first met as classmates. We quickly became friends by bonding over our shared past as college athletes. We started out as friends and study partners, spending countless hours together buried in textbooks, quizzing each other before exams, and sharing a lot of coffee (and probably too many snacks). Over time, we started to find time to spend together outside of school. Somewhere between quizzes and anatomy lab our friendship turned into something deeper. Brandon’s Golden Retriever, Arlo, quickly won over Kelsie’s heart (and maybe helped seal the deal). During COVID, we added a new member to the family—our corgi, Avi—who brought a lot of laughter and love during uncertain times. Despite Avi's best attempts at ruining the surprise by eating the ring receipt, on November 12, 2021, during a hike at Triple Falls in North Carolina, Brandon got down on one knee beside the waterfall—dogs by our side—and asked Kelsie to spend forever with him. The engagement was followed by a surprise weekend with close family and friends in Kelsie's favorite place in the mountains. After graduation, we took another big step together: we couples matched into residency in Cleveland, Ohio, at University Hospitals. That’s how we ended up here—still studying, still learning, still growing together. Our journey has been filled with love, challenges, laughter, and so much support for each other. We’re so excited to continue this adventure as husband and wife, and we can’t wait to celebrate this special moment with all of you. Thank you for being part of our story.!

Callie and Kelsie first met shortly after Brandon and Kelsie started dating. It didn’t take long for the two to become best friends.

Hannah and Kelsie met in medical school. Now they both work as Emergency Medicine girl boss physicians and share frequent vent sessions about their crazy experiences.

Marie and Kelsie met as young kids. From there they played high school and travel basketball together and then played against each other collegiately!

Kellie and Kelsie met in Elementary School. They were born a day apart and like to joke that they got switched at birth during a snow storm.

Emily and Kelsie met in Elementary School. Many late night laughs and mischief happened at sleepovers in Emily’s basement.

Emily Sermersheim-Weaver

After hitting too many homeruns off of Brandon in high school baseball, Tyler and Brandon finally became teammates at the Keystone Games in 2012, and ultimately best friends. Whether it's making hit YouTube videos or converting Clevelander's to Steelers fans through the magic of PBR's, the laugh's Tyler and Brandon have, have been endless.

Brandon's (not so little) brother in-law. After watching Brett successfully navigate a marriage with Callie, he has earned Brandon's unwavering love and respect. He has become a true brother to Brandon.

Jon is one of Brandon's closest friends, and they first met in the George Washington University Hospital where they worked as ER Tech's together. Whether it's attempting to throw each other through a fence in a co-worker's back yard or pranking Manny, Jon always has Brandon's back.

Manny first met Brandon working as an ER Tech at George Washington. There's no greater friendship than a true rival, and Brandon and Manny constantly compete in the most random things, no matter how big or small. Even though he cheats at Fantasy football, their friendship will forever be strong.

Emmanuel Chukwuma

John is one of Brandon's closest friends from Medical School. After revolutionizing the "patient handoff process" together, Brandon and John have been friends ever since. John actually had Brandon officiate him and his wife Kelly's Wedding.

SHUTTLE SERVICE BE AVAILABLE FROM THE HOLIDAY INN MENTOR TO TALL OAKS EVENT COMPLEX. ARRIVAL - Shuttle will arrive at the Holiday Inn and will be available for boarding starting at 3:00 pm; first shuttle will leave at 3:15 pm. There will only be two trips to the venue before the wedding so plan accordingly. SHUTTLE SERVICE AT END OF WEDDING BACK TO HOLIDAY INN ESTIMATED 11:00PM Early departure prior to wedding conclusion will be available.

We plan to have a gathering the night before the wedding with all of our guests at a local brewery. This will begin after our rehearsal dinner on 10/17/25 and we anticipate arriving around 8:30 pm.
