Mutual friends at Western Kentucky University led us to each other in 2020, where we spent most of our time together at the college bar Matthew worked at.

Starting out as close friends that hung out only in groups, we spent more one-on-one time together in summer of 2021.

Kendal lived in Lexington, KY and Matthew lived in Clarksville, TN with 4 hours in between. We still made a point to see each other almost every weekend, and we knew we wanted to be together more than just the weekends.

A new job opportunity brought Matthew back home to Louisville and Kendal followed, renting an apartment together in March 2022.

We spent Christmas and New Years together in our little apartment talking about all of our plans for the coming years.

After one year of domestic bliss, Matthew planned the perfect intimate proposal in our living room on March 23, 2023.

In September 2023 we bought our first home together, where we plan to host lots of parties and start a family one day. We can't wait for you to continue this journey with us!
