Our Wedding

It all started thanks to a web of friendships and a little matchmaking magic. Braden’s best friend married a friend of a friend who is now a close friend, too (we know, it’s a mouthful), and somehow, that led to us meeting. Our first date was a super fun evening strolling through Bishop Arts and chowing down at&nbsp;Written by the Seasons&nbsp;in Dallas—total rom-com vibes.

How We Met

I knew Braden was “the one” when my dog Myles, who had a very selective approval process, absolutely adored him. Braden treated Myles like his own, and that sealed the deal. He officially asked me to be his girlfriend on Easter Sunday 2022, which was sweet… until we realized Easter changes every year and now we can never remember our anniversary. And naturally, we decided to get married on Easter weekend (I promise it was an accident!).

Making it "Official"

The proposal? Picture this: a picturesque bridge in Bruges, Belgium. Braden casually said, “Will you just marry me now?” like he’d done a dozen times before. I replied with my usual, “Yeah sure, why not?”—but this time, he dropped to one knee and made it official.

The Proposal

Since we started dating, we’ve been jet-setting all over—from Seattle to Mexico to Amsterdam and beyond—thanks to Braden’s travel-heavy job and his magical stash of airline miles. In October 2023, we moved in together (yes, I convinced him to leave the city life behind for the suburbs of Frisco). These days, we share our home with two lovable chaos agents—our dogs Bonnie and Wesley—who keep us on our toes and our floors covered in fur. We love the little family we’ve created, and I know Myles would be proud of the life and love we’ve built together. What we love most about each other is our independence and drive. We’re each other’s biggest cheerleaders, and we’re proud of the lives we’ve built—both separately and together. We’re goofy, ambitious, and totally in sync. And now, we’re getting married, who'da thought?!

You can fly into either of the two major airports in the area - DFW International Airport (DFW; ~40 min from venue) or Dallas Love Field (DAL; ~45 min from venue).
