Our story begins on Tinder, where we matched and began messaging daily. Payton was working at Northern Illinois University, and Kendall was a senior studying psychology. After a cancelled first date, we met on October 17, 2019 at Tavern on Lincoln in Dekalb. By October 29, Payton was on one knee with a ring pop, asking Kendall to be his girlfriend.

We quickly began seeing each other daily, whether it was on campus or at home. Once COVID hit, we spent days at home quarantining and playing Animal Crossing and Fortnite.

By February 2021, we had moved to an old farmhouse in Sycamore. We brought along Kendall's beloved cat Peanut, who loves Payton more than anything in this world.

We adopted our first dog Lucy in July 2021, and moved to Machesney Park after buying our first home in September 2021.

We recently adopted a puppy, Tano, in April 2024. She has completed our family! We are looking forward to the rest of our lives together.
