Wind Creek State Park is one of our favorite picnic spots!

We love Smith Mountain Fire Tower. It has been a sweet date spot of ours.

It is a moderate 0.9-mile loop trail.

At the top of the trail, you will hit a fire tower and you can climb to the top to get some of the best views of Lake Martin!

Rent a boat and head out to Chimney Rock, if you're feeling adventurous jump off one of the rocks.

This is a great place to stop and grab a cup of coffee the morning of the wedding- the town of Waverly is a hidden gem. There is an antique store down the road as well!

Be sure to spend some time in Auburn while you're in the area! It’s just an hour away from the ceremony and reception venue, with plenty of fun things to do. Feel free to reach out if you'd like any recommendations for activities or places to eat!
