Our Story

About Greenwich

Greenwich is the first town into Connecticut driving up the coast from New York. It is comprised of 5 villages which from southwest to northeast are Byram, Greenwich, Cos Cob, Riverside and Old Greenwich. The Post Road (Route 1 aka East/West Putnam Avenue) and 1-95 both pass through town and you can drive from the NY edge of Byram to the Stamford end of Old Greenwich in 10 minutes. All travel times listed are without traffic so we recommend that you check google maps or waze.

AirportsThe closest airport to Greenwich is Westchester County Airport in White Plains New York which is about a 20-25 minute away. It has limited routes through American Airlines, Delta, jetBlue and United.Without traffic LaGuardia is about 30-35 minutes away, JFK 45-50 minutes away and Newark (NJ) a little over an hour away.From NYCTrain: Metro North from Grand Central Station to Greenwich station run approximately every 30 minutes and the trip takes about 50 minutes on the weekend. There are taxis waiting at the train station in Greenwich. Uber/Lyft: Estimate pricing without surge is approximately $100 from midtown Manhattan to Greenwich and about $75 from Greenwich back to midtown Manhattan. There should be a decent amount in the Greenwich area.From Anywhere ElseLots of driving routes depending on traffic so we recommend using Waze or Google Maps. They don't open reservations until 3 month before and are not keen on wedding parties so we recommend keeping that on the down-low. Deposit &amp; strict cancellation required. They have a pool and breakfast and Wi-Fi are included.

Stanton House Inn

$$$Approximately 8 minute drive to receptionNice hotel on the water that has very few rooms left available. They have a great restaurant called L'Escale and are walking distance from the train station as well as the shops, restaurants and bars on Greenwich Avenue. Spa, fitness center and complimentary breakfast Wi-Fi and parking. They have some groups coming in that have a cancellation policy of 24 hours so if they are booked you can add yourself to the wait-list to see if anything opens up a few days before. We of course recommend making backup arrangements.

A must-see in Greenwich. Locals call it The Ave and instead of traffic lights there are cops at every block directing traffic. Just be careful not to jay-walk at a cross walk or you'll be reprimanded!1mile one-way street with shops and restaurants that's the main drag in Greenwich. Start at the top and walk your way down (Train station and Delamar hotel are at the bottom).

Tod's Point

Take a ferry from Roger Sherman Baldwin Park off Arch Street (near Delamar Hotel). Parking is available across Arch Street. In addition to the ferry tickets, park passes must be purchased in advance at one of the following locations and are only available for purchase on weekdays. Island Beach

Local museum near the Delamar and the train station that offers both science and art exhibits. Its wide array of holdings include items related to anthropology, natural history, decorative art, and fine art.

Bruce Museum

A unique presentation provides visitors with two distinct time periods: the <a href="http://www.greenwichhistory.org/new_nation.php">New Nation</a>(1790-1825) and the <a href="http://www.greenwichhistory.org/colony.php">Cos Cob Art Colony </a>(1890-1920). Eight evocative, well-documented rooms tell a story of change over time, while the historic buildings, landscape and gardens evoke the turn of the twentieth century when Cos Cob became the first art colony in Connnecticut, a cradle of American Impressionism.

25 minute drive from Greenwich. Weekend tickets sell out very fast and start at $75.The Glass House, built between 1949 and 1995 by architect Philip Johnson, is a National Trust Historic Site located in New Canaan, Connecticut. The pastoral 49-acre landscape comprises fourteen structures, including the Glass House (1949), and features a permanent collection of 20th-century painting and sculpture, along with temporary exhibitions. Tours of the site are available.
