Myles and Kendi’s journey began with a swipe on Hinge.Myles, living in Roanoke, VA, was immediately drawn to Kendi’s radiant smile. Kendi, based in Greensboro, NC, wasn’t sure about online dating, but she couldn’t resist Myles’ persistence and his willingness to travel the distance to meet her. Their connection grew quickly as they shared stories about their love for God, family, and good food. After months of texting, FaceTiming, and weekend visits, Kendi made the big decision to leave the place she grew up, packing up herself and her puppy Koda, to move to Roanoke and be closer to Myles. It wasn’t long before they realized that together, they made the perfect team. As their love story continued to unfold, Myles and Kendi decided to take the next step and move to Charlotte, NC, to start a new chapter together. Surrounded by new opportunities and excitement, their bond only grew stronger.On March 23, 2025, Myles proposed to Kendi during a quiet, heartfelt moment they had dreamed about—a beautiful day filled with love, laughter, and the promise of forever. Just a few months later, on August 29, 2025, they bought their first home in a small town in South Carolina, a place that already feels like the beginning of their forever.Now, as they prepare to say “I do” on August 29, 2026, Myles and Kendi are excited to celebrate their love with the family and friends who have supported them along the way. Their journey is a reminder that sometimes the best adventures come from taking chances (dating apps)—and finding the one you’re meant to be with.
