It all started with a swipe. Yes, a dating app, OK Cupid to be exact. Kendra was sitting at work during lunch, swiping though pictures and bios and came to this guy with a handsome face, little bit of facial hair and his bio made her laugh out loud.

John was sitting at the Heliport in Louisiana swiping as well and he saw this stunning, majestic woman that had sent him a notification she was interested. 1st he made sure she was not a bot or a dude with a few questions. They chatted for a bit but then said he had to hop on a helicopter. Which Kendra was slightly ... who are we kidding this is Kendra ... majorly skeptical about! John later facetimed Kendra from the platform after he worked a bit, which was pretty cool to shy Kendra. The water was so deep dark blue, and his eyes so kind, and that smile!!!! She knew she did not have to be skeptical of him. A week later John flew back in and drove from Houma LA to a brewery just around the corner from where Kendra lived, Ingenious Brewery, since Kendra had never been to one and that is where it all started. Beer, a lightly bearded man, a shy nervous woman, some soggy boudin balls and a kiss. We later found out Kendra was allergic to most of their beers.

That following weekend, John invited her on a trip, loaded a 4-wheeler in the back of Kendra's Betsy, and that started the love between them and the location they are getting married at. To be honest John already loved the park BUT he knew the spot that they both fell in love with and always go to every time they ride. The spot they want to share with all whom they love and care about on the day they say I do to one another.

Ever since that day they first met in person, though not in love with the boudin balls ... soggy messes they were, Kendra has been in love with John. And John, well he didnt know what he was getting himself into, but we all know John, the it aint that bad on a 3 -4-star trail, he took chance and let his heart open up to her.

From Breweries, so many breweries, to concerts, he got drug to, movies that she got drug to fishing, oh that was an experience the 1st trip, to all the riding trips, now in separate rides but shhhhhh Kendra actually likes going now! Road trips across Texas and to other states! This road they have been on has been full of adventures, daily, even when at home.

They LOVE their 3 fur kids, Resistol their ole blind man with selective hearing that convinced John that not all small dogs are bad and was Kendra's heart for 15-1/2 years, Luci that wants attention but only from certain people and they all know who they are and Barley their sheetrock eating-mom protector-loves all people monster that they could not live without, they keep them on their toes. Kendra is so glad that John is a patient man! And John is so glad that Kendra just can’t give up on Barley.

Their families ... neither of them could say enough about how much they love them and what they mean to both of them, yes, all 47+ of them. They are amazing, smart, beautiful, handsome, accepting, talented and loving. All have a great sense of humor, will help at the drop of a hat, but you can bet your ass they will laugh with you, and yes at you, before helping you up if you fall, they may even fall with you. They give all kinds of advice, all good of course. Hold your hand but also tell you to get up, kick you in the butt and tell you to try again when they know you need it or know you can do something you are giving up on. Which they both think is one of the most amazing things about both of their families.

The mom, sisters, brothers, son, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, adopted brothers and their significant others and of course all the midgets that are shared with them. John and Kendra, know they are very very lucky to have them all in both of their lives.

Their friends that through the year have come into their lives from work, being neighbors and through their parents are dear to them. They are few but they are mighty and forgiving for the stubbornness that Kendra and John have at times. They all allow them both to be themselves without any apologies or explanations. John and Kendra will never forget them or let them out of their lives.

John and Kendra would not be here in this spot, getting married, if it was not all the wonderful people in their lives. They are so very happy you are reading this and know that you are one of those many mentioned special people who are a part of their story, lives and future.
