Justin and Kendra met on Bumble in January 2021. Within 48 hours of matching, they went on their first date. While the coffee shop they met at was closed, thankfully it was the first day bars/restaurants had re-opened following COVID, so a quick stroll through the snow covered streets of Plymouth, MI found them at a local brewery where they bonded over their love of craft beers.

After their first date, they quickly bonded over a mutual love of ice skating, board games, exploring local restaurants/breweries, and not being able to sit still. Their story has been filled with summers at Lake Lancer, trips to Wisconsin, taking picture with every statue they find, and a ridiculous number of theme parties. Through it all, Kendra also fell in love with Justin's golden retriever, Izzy, who lovingly refers to Kendra as "girls" and is the center of both of their worlds.

In May 2023, after driving Kendra to the airport to fly home to Wisconsin to visit her family, Justin, unbeknownst to Kendra, flew to Green Bay two days later. With the help of both of their families, Justin surprised Kendra at Ledgestone Vineyards where he proposed.
