Reno has moer options
*Down the Hill from Truckee and Tahoe
-the Sierra Valley has hot springs, hiking, golf and lakes. A lot more low key and country feeling than Tahoe. Beautiful!
-Virginia City Historical mining town
-Reno has random cool stuff to do (go carts, giant swing ride, indoor and outdoor rock-climbing walls, planetarium, golfing) eating, drinking, and, oh yeah, casinos.
-Carson City (capital of Nevada) has a public hotsprings, capitol building, Nevada stuff.
-Genoa, NV: oldest bar in Nevada, beautiful hiking, hot springs resort
*Even farther away but awesome
-Mammoth Lakes, Eastern Sierra Mountains, hot springs galore, Yosemite National Park, San Fransisco, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Santa Cruz, Sonoma, Napa, are all 2.5-5 hours away driving from our house.
*Hawaii is just a $400, 6 hour non-stop plane flight form San Francisco :). Just sayin.....
