Kendra and Gregory met in the wonderful city of Phoenix Arizona in the Fall of 2021. The night was young, and their friends had planned a small get-together at Kendra & her roommates house. As Gregory, who had been gone for a whole year, walked in with a few friends, little did he know that he would come face to face with the love of his life. Upon arrival, Gregory saw Kendra and was immediately struck by her beauty. Her sparkling blue eyes, golden tan skin, and immensely cute outfit petrified his very being, causing him to become instantly shy (as we all know they both are). She was the most beautiful woman he had ever laid his eyes upon. Kendra, however, saw a blonde boy wearing rainbow parachute pants and a dirty, ripped tee shirt. She immediately was under the impression that he was a high-schooler (Gregory was indeed 21 years old at the time). After a night of laughter, chaos, hand-stand competitions and warm fun as always, their time with friends had come to an end.


Heres where the magic begins.


After a month or so of being in the same circle, Kendra realizing that Gregory was in fact older than her and just needed a haircut, and getting to know one another, the planning of the annual Emilys Birthday Payson camping trip begun. (Geez thank you Emily). Everyone was so excited for this time spent in fellowship and good fun over the upcoming weekend, and Kendra was in need of a ride to the spot. Per usual, Gregory offered up his 4Runner to be one of the many vehicles taken upon this excursion. Kendra jumped at a spot in the car. Little did she know that Gregory had been wishing more than anything she would take the bait.
On the trip up, the car was electric. Everyone was having such an incredible time, especially Gregory. He had never looked into the back seat more in his life while driving, as the most stunning woman to ever live was nestled in-between two of his best friends, right in perfect eyes view.


The next two days consisted of many activities, all of which Kendra & Gregory found a way to be beside each other. This is where Gregory knew he had a crush. A crush that would turn into a question of doing homework at Luanas coffee shop, which led to a first date. A date that would solidify the two becoming absolutely obsessed with each other. This followed a first picnic, a first adventure, and a first kiss. A kiss that would become a first Will you be my girlfriend? (Oh, she said yes to it all) and a first...

On May 27, 2023, Gregory Alan Newland asked Kendra Marie Dominguez to be his wife.


Our firsts have each been more magical than the last, and our love has only grown with them. We are so excited to step into a life of servanthood, a life of growth, and a life of seeking each other second after first seeking The Lord. We are truly committed to creating a life that is about something much greater than ourselves, by committing each day to loving each other better than the last, learning to serve each other with true humility, and also to just have FUN together. And we could not have ever begun to dream of the life we wanted for ourselves without the examples we have been given: you. You reading this, those who we have hand selected to not only witness our union as husband and wife but to also join it are not simply invites, but those we seek to honor in this day & in this marriage. Without you, we would have never found each other nor had the example of family you have so graciously given to us. To Newland forever.
