Bryce and Kendra’s story began back in 2020 when they first started hearing about each other through a mutual connection, John Full. Bryce was on the Fire Department with John, while Kendra worked at Marcotte Jewelry during college. At the time, Kendra was living in Brookings, so their paths never crossed—though John’s wife, Michelle, made sure Bryce heard Kendra’s name a few times while they worked together at Bremer Bank! 😊

Fast forward to the Fall of 2023 when Kendra moved back to Marshall. It wasn’t long before she started hearing more and more about this guy named Bryce Gorder. Bryce and Kendra occasionally attended the Marshall Chamber Young Professionals (YP) events, and on April 23, 2024, they finally met during a YP tour of the ADM corn processing plant. They had both heard so much about each other over the years that they were a little nervous—so most of their first conversation was about the rainy weather that day, all while wearing hard hats and safety glasses.

A few days later, Bryce got a text from a friend, Haley Bierl, who mentioned Kendra. That gave him the perfect excuse to reach out. Not long after, they went on their first date on May 2, 2024, at Brau Brothers. Bryce picked Kendra up from her house—and to their surprise, when he entered her address, his GPS suggested walking! It turned out they lived only three blocks apart.

Bryce and Kendra are so thankful for God’s perfect timing in bringing them together. Since that first date, they’ve had the best time building their life together and can’t wait to be married on April 18, 2026!
