As we all know, Kendra and Jake have a long history. However, it goes back further than most know. Before they even knew of each other, they had the same kindergarten teacher, went to the same elementary school and lived only 1 mile away from each other growing up.


In 2014, they crossed paths the first time in high school when Kendra was 15 and Jake had just turned 16. They were in the same 'quiet' study hall where the two met. Kendra was typically working on homework. Jake on the other hand enjoyed the time to socialize with friends, not being so quiet. The two of them didn’t get along so well at first. 

Then came the second semester of the year where they now landed into the same gym class. Jake started getting Kendra's attention more by his humor, being a natural athlete and having a contagious laugh. He always wanted to be her partner for class activities. They created a fun friendship which then led Jake asking her to be his girlfriend when the two were taking a photo for her birthday in March of 2015.


Some key moments in their journey together consist of; three proms, Kendra attending every one of Jake's hockey games, the passing of Jake’s dad, Jake going to college, Kendra going to college the following year, Jake changing his career path and moving back home which then lead to 5 years of long distance, 1st apartment together, 2 dogs, and purchase of their first home.


Last summer, the two went up north to Two Harbors for a weekend getaway with friends. After almost 9 years together, Jake proposed on August 18th, 2023, and again while the two were posing for a photo.


All of life's moments have led them to this, a forever commitment towards one another. They can't wait to finally celebrate their story and walk into marriage with all of their loved ones by their side.
