Our Wedding

Kendra and Matthew’s love story began in Matthew’s hometown of Burnt Islands, Newfoundland. Two people whose lives overlapped in the same small town long before we ever realized we were meant to be more than familiar faces. For years we crossed paths without knowing that one day, we’d become each other’s home. When the timing finally aligned, everything between us fell into place so effortlessly it felt like our story had been waiting for us. Proof that sometimes the most extraordinary things grow from the most familiar places.What began as a simple conversation soon deepened into something warm. Being together felt easy- comfortable in a way that made the rest of the world feel softer. With each passing day, we found comfort in one another that was impossible to ignore. Being together felt easy, warm and safe. We understood each other in ways neither of us had experienced before, and that quiet understanding became the foundation of our love. There wasn’t one single moment that told us we had found “our person” - it was the collection of small everyday moments filled with support, kindness, and the feeling of truly being seen.Together we spend our days exploring new places, sharing inside jokes, and laughing until it hurts. If you ask anyone we sure know how to make people laugh.Whether we are out exploring or simply enjoying each other’s company, every moment feels easy and full of laughter, joy and love.The Montreal Canadiens found their way into our love story too. Kendra- who had never really been a hockey fan found herself becoming a die-hard Montreal Canadiens fan, thanks entirely to Matthew. Kendra didn’t stand a chance once she saw Matthew’s passion for the team- she became a fan almost instantly. Soon cheering on the Habs wasn’t just Matthew’s thing anymore…it was our thing. One filled with excitement, teasing, and plenty of celebration. Whether we are watching from the couch or dreaming of seeing a game in person, it became something special we look forward to together.That shared passion made March 15th, 2025 even more magical. After attending our very first Canadiens game together in Montreal, Matthew led Kendra outside the Bell Centre. We stepped outside our hearts already full. Standing under the bright arena lights surrounded by the excitement of the city and the energy of the crowd. The night air buzzed with celebration, and before she knew it, he was down on one knee. Matthew proposed outside the Bell Centre, surrounded by excited fans who turned into an impromptu cheering crowd, creating the most electric, unforgettable moment of our lives. Even in all the noise, it felt like the world had narrowed down to just the two of us.Now, we’re stepping into our next chapter hand in hand. Our love is rooted in home, strengthened by laughter, and carried forward by adventure. We can’t wait to stand together and say “ I do”, surrounded by the people we love most, as we begin the rest of our forever- with love, joy and laughter.
