What time should I arrive?

Seating will open at 1:30 PM and the ceremony will begin promptly at 2 PM. Our reception begins at 4 PM for cocktail hour, followed by dinner at 6 PM, dancing at 8 PM, and after party to follow after the reception is concluded at 11 PM.

Where should I stay?

We have reserved room blocks at the Doubletree by Hilton in downtown Madison for our guests to stay at as our primary option. Another choice nearby this hotel that we have reserved for guests will be the Hampton Inn & Suites Madison/Downtown. We have also reserved room blocks at the Union South hotel located in the same building as our reception.

What should I wear?

Cocktail attire. We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with a tie and women wear any length dress ranging from cocktail to floor length or dressy separates.

Where is the ceremony?

Olin Park with a back up plan of the shelter on site if inclement weather occurs. There will be parking around the shelter area and if there is no spaces left as you arrive then guests can use the bigger parking lot down below and there will be drivers in golf carts that will take you up to the ceremony spot. Restrooms available onsite.

What type of transportation will be provided?

There will be a shuttle from the DoubleTree hotel before the ceremony for hotel guests to use. The shuttle will leave at 1:30 pm from the hotel and will pick up guests at 2:30 pm from the ceremony spot back to the hotel if anyone needs transportation to the ceremony. Before cocktail hour begins at 4 PM, there will be shuttles taking guests to the reception location from the DoubleTree Hotel. The times will be 3:30 pm, 3:45 pm, and 4 pm. There will also be shuttles taking guests back to the hotel whenever you need by calling the hotel. The shuttle will also start making nonstop rounds starting at 10 pm until 11 pm. Please note that if you choose to stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites, there will not be a shuttle service for you. For the folks that don't want the night to end, there will be shuttles to the after party at the end of the reception.

How does parking work for the ceremony?

There will be parking stalls by the pavilion. There is also a large parking lot at the bottom of the park where golf carts will be waiting to take guests up to the ceremony.

How does parking work for the reception?

There is underground garage parking at Union South, which is the reception location. If the garage is full there are 2 other parking garages in the area (Lot 17- 1525 Engineering Drive and Lot 20, 1390 University Ave). Street parking is available as well. All hotel guests will have a parking garage to park in at a rate of $20 per night.

What are the details for the after party?

You all shouldn't be surprised that the bride and groom don't want the party to end. We will be holding the after party at Red Rock Saloon in downtown Madison. We have the upstairs bar partially reserved for our wedding guests to continue the party. But we are welcome to be anywhere throughout the bar, and yes, we expect you all to ride the bull. Guests will have their cover charge waived and will be able to skip the line to get in. Drinks are not included during this portion of the night.

Can I bring my kids?

Although we adore your children, we’ve elected to limit our ceremony and reception to adults only with exceptions to the bride and groom's family members.

Can I bring a plus one?

When you have received your invitation in the mail you will notice how many people will be on your RSVP. We ask that you please stick to that number or else your guest will be hangry and tired from standing at dinner time.

What can we do between the ceremony and reception?

We wanted to give our guests time to check in to the hotel if they were unable to do that before the ceremony, and/or time to explore the area around them before the cocktail hour begins at 4 PM. There is a bar inside both offsite hotel location, as well as a popular Madison bar next to the Doubletree called the Nitty Gritty.

How do I RSVP?

We will have an option to RSVP right here on our wedding website or you can mail in the card once you have received the invitation and filled out the card.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Please text the bride the accommodations you need in order to enjoy the food at the dinner. Her number is (608)334-6647. Please note that we will have 2 meat options and 1 vegetarian/vegan option.

What are your registry details?

We have a link to a honeymoon and future home fund under our registry tab!

Who should I contact if I have questions about the wedding?

Please text the groom when any questions come to mind. He knows everything about this wedding and it would be a good test of his knowledge. (please reach out to the bride and pretty please reach out to the groom just to harass him).
