Kendra and CJ met one night at a fall campfire when two friends were having a first date and decided that they should each bring a friend to ease the first date nerves. Little did Kendra and CJ know they would soon be talking the night away and meeting the person that they were going to spend the rest of their lives with.

Later that year Kendra and CJ both attended the high school's Christmas Dance without a date, and CJ found a chance to ask Kendra to dance. That night began their relationship as they began dating and were inseparable... for the next two and a half years.

CJ enlisted in the Navy his senior year of high school, and went on to travel the world including being deployed to Japan during the pandemic. Although Kendra and CJ decided to take a short intermission in their relationship, they always kept in contact and found time for constant phone calls despite being on opposite sides of the world.

CJ finished his deployment and came home in May of 2021. He and Kendra immediately reconnected and began dating again within a month. They picked up right where they left off and didn't miss a beat.

It was then time for Kendra to leave home and go back to Penn State to get her Bachelor's degree. Kendra and CJ continued to make endless memories when he visited her on the weekends, and her Penn State family quickly became his too.

CJ soon realized he was a brand new dog father to his son Franklin and was not the only man in Kendra's life. He is okay with sharing the spotlight... most of the time.

Kendra graduated from Penn State and began Graduate school at Misericordia University, and in the mean time Kendra and CJ moved in together, began home renovations, and spent their Saturday nights watching old episodes of New Girl and Friends.

On a beautiful day in June, CJ and Kendra were celebrating their three year anniversary (of their second relationship) a day early. CJ didn't eat much at dinner and looked like he was going to be sick on the way home to a family party, and even had to stop for gum on the ride there so he wouldn't throw up. As they walked in to Kendra's Uncle Lance and Aunt Paola's house, they were greeted by Kendra's Aunt Paola, Grammy, and older sister Taylar. The three sent CJ down to the pond and distracted Kendra while he set up the perfect proposal. They then walked her down to the pond where she stumbled upon her future husband waiting for her to say yes to spending the rest of her life with him.
