Like all great modern love stories, ours started with video games. We first crossed paths years ago through gaming with mutual friends, where Sebastian would occasionally help Kendra test her studio’s upcoming game. Back then, our conversations were short, casual, and banterous. Just teammates playing a game for fun. But fate had other plans.

A few years later, Kendra decided to host a horror movie night for the friend group. Sebastian showed up, and from that night on, something just clicked. What started as friendly banter turned into jokes about the terrible movie Kendra made everyone watch, late-night talks, music playlists shared back and forth, an embarrassing amount of 8-ball pool, and marathon weekends spent playing video games. Before too long, “just friends” turned into “best friends,” and “best friends” turned into love.

Our story is full of curiosity and persistence. Sebastian, the quiet and thoughtful one, who wasn't used to being bombarded with questions about himself, and Kendra, the outspoken one, with a genuine interest in his life and mind, determined to draw him out with every question under the sun. We learned each other’s quirks, celebrated each other’s passions, discussed our plans and goals, teased each other over embarrassing stories, and built a connection founded on respect, tenderness, laughter, and a whole lot of love. What we share is the kind of bond people spend a lifetime searching for, and we feel incredibly grateful that we found it so soon.

Today, we share a home in Alaska with our beloved family: Toast the dog and Butter the cat. Every day is filled with adventure, cozy nights in, and dreams of the life we want to build together. Sebastian keeps planes in the air as a jet engine mechanic with the Air Force, and Kendra manages marketing and communications for The Salvation Army in Alaska.

Together, we balance each other in all the best ways. Our story may have started with video games and a terrible scary movie, but it’s grown into a life filled with endless laughter, thoughtfulness, devotion, and the kind of everyday love that feels like home. And now we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of it all with the people we love most: you!
