Our Wedding

It all began when we were around 10 years old.Isaac harbored a crush on me, confiding in me that he used to watch me play in the school playground with my friends while he sat on the grass by the fence. Unbeknownst to me, his feelings for me grew during our occasional interactions at church, limited to mere greetings. One day, a group of boys came rushing towards me, enthusiastically proclaiming Isaac's affection over and over again. Glancing at Isaac, who avoided eye contact, confirmed my suspicions. Throughout the school year, Isaac sent me small love notes, eloquently complimenting my smile, my laugh, and even me in general. He expressed his desire for us to date, which I gently declined given our tender age of 10-11 years old. Our interactions at church were brief, with him saying a quick "hi" before retreating to join his friends. A significant moment arrived when I received a text from an unknown number, which, to my surprise, turned out to be Isaac. Over the years, we developed a friendship, exchanging messages and getting to know each other, yet still too shy to engage in substantial face-to-face conversations. Despite our reserved interactions, I couldn't help but notice Isaac stealing glances at me during church gatherings, a gesture that I found both endearing and intriguing. Our relationship took a turn during a random afternoon at a church festival. I decided to break the ice by initiating a conversation with Isaac, I made it my mission to talk to Isaac and say something other than "Hi'". Everyone was taking selfies to make memories when I approached Isaac and asked him to take a selfie together, which is the picture at the very top. I was super happy we had 1 picture together and that moment right there would later become a core memory marking the beginning of our deeper connection.&nbsp; As we both navigated through the challenges of high school, Isaac and I grew even closer. He became my constant companion, walking me to class, sharing lunches, and celebrating milestones together. Despite the deepening affection we felt for each other, we made a mutual decision to officially start our romantic journey after turning 18, choosing to prioritize our education. Post-graduation, the anticipation of our next chapter was perceivable. On September 3rd, 2018, while volunteering at our church's annual festival, Isaac surprised me with a small buquet of flowers, asking me to be his girlfriend. Our relationship blossomed over the next five years, filled with laughter, shared tears, unforgettable adventures, and countless moments that strengthened our bond. The next 5 years were filled with laughter, smiles, tears and adventures. We'd go to the zoo, the aquarium, have a picnic, etc it has truly been an amazing 5 years. As we celebrated our fifth anniversary, Isaac meticulously planned a surprise date. On September 2nd, 2023. I loved surprises but also hated them because you never know what to expect! He picked me up early in the morning with a bag from McDonald's, knowing my love for their breakfast. I ate my breakfast while Isaac barely touched his food because he "wasn't hungry" which I later found out it was because he was super nervous. We then embarked on a journey to Gondola Adventures boat rides in Irving. The boat was transformed into a romantic haven adorned with pink, orange, and white roses, creating a picturesque setting. As we neared the end of our boat ride, the guide orchestrated a momentous surprise. Isaac, with nerves evident. The guide had asked Isaac if he could pick up the stranded bottle that was in the lake. After about 5 minutes of trying to retrieve the bottle Isaac successfully got it and gave it to me to read the paper inside. I’m not sure why or how I didn't realize anything but my mind thought that bottle had some sort of treasure map in it and we were gonna go on a scavenger hunt. I read the note, I saw Isaac reaching for a little box while getting on his knee. My mind completely blanked because I did not know this was going to happen soon! He proposed and of course I said yes!Now, as we eagerly await our wedding day, our hearts are filled with gratitude and excitement for the lifelong adventure that lies ahead. ❤️
