Kenisha and Renauld met at Grand Valley State University in 2011. Renauld, who went to Western Michigan, needed someone from Grand Valley to partner up with him to get him into a school party. He was introduced to Kenisha by her best friend, Rhondalynn. Little did Rhondalynn know, she would be the person to start their love story.

From that day, Kenisha and Renauld spent their time getting to know one another - traveling back and forth from one another's college and home states. It was inevitable that they would soon start dating.

After Renauld graduated college in 2015, their relationship was mostly long distance. Kenisha had one more year of college and Renauld moved back to his home in Detroit, Michigan. It wouldn't be until 2018 when they'd finally live in the same city.

Renauld attended Depaul University in Chicago to receive his Master's Degree. This time in Chicago gave him and Kenisha the time to really get to experience dating one another and living in the same city. Their relationship and bond grew even stronger during that time period.

Renauld proposed to Kenisha on 05/30/21 at Navy Pier. This location was special because it's where the couple had their first Chicago date in 2012.
