Chase and I met in 8th grade when he moved to Powhatan from Goochland. We were friends and talked often over that year and a half. We always had a crush on each other, but when we got into highschool, we didn’t talk or see each other much anymore. At the end of our Freshman year, we started hanging out more on a serious level. I knew, even at 15, I was going to marry him one day. We started dating August 24, 2017. We grew up together. Learned and grew to love each other more and more. We have had so many good memories that of course come with some hardships. Each time something has negatively impacted us, it made us come out stronger. We wouldn’t be where we are today together if we hadn’t kept fighting for one another and taking care of each others hearts over the years. In 2021, we found out we were having our first born, Octavia. She has been one of the biggest blessings in our life. We got our first home together in November of 2021 where we got to experience another life we weren’t used to. In February of 2023, we found out we were having our baby boy Ryder. Our family has grown and Chase thought it was time for me to finally have the same last name as our babies. January 21, 2024 Chase took me on a trip to Tennessee for my birthday. Come to find out he had bigger plans than a cabin in the mountains. We got engaged in Gatlinburg after going up an awful lift to the top of the mountain where I was scared to come back down. We thought it was fitting since we got engaged in the mountains, it simply makes sense to get married in the mountains. Purlear, NC will forever be the place we will remember.
