Our Story

Connor and Kennedy first met at Connor's New Student Orientation for the University of South Carolina in July of 2019. Connor, in true Connor fashion, had waited to sign up for Orientation and was left with one of the last sessions, where Kennedy was his Orientation Leader.

Throughout the fall of 2019, Kennedy had reached out to Connor to check in as she did with the majority of her students. And in December, she learned from a mutual friend that Connor was single! Between January and April of 2020, Kennedy and Connor would occasionally talk on social media, and on one night during lockdown, Kennedy sent Connor her number. A few weeks later the pair had their first date in Columbia, SC, and a few weeks after that Kennedy spent the weekend with Connor and his family in Amelia, VA where he asked her to be his girlfriend.

Our First Date

Connor and Kennedys first date was on May 21st, 2020 just after lockdown. Connor was in town visiting his grandparents and picked Kennedy up to take her to dinner downtown at Cantina 76. The two ordered tacos, but remember eating nothing because they were both so nervous. Following their dinner Connor took Kennedy to get ice cream (her favorite) and then took her to the lake to watch the sunset. He wasted no time at all, asking her to be his girlfriend less than 4 hours into the date. To which Kennedy swiftly responded no, however, that didnt stop Connor from asking her out on a second date when she was in town visiting her grandparents a few weeks later. Kennedy rejecting him weeks prior only made Connor more eager to ask her to be his girlfriend again. Less than 10 minutes after picking Kennedy up for their second date he had asked Kennedy to be his girlfriend again... this time she couldnt say no.
