Cale and I first met our sophomore year of college through mutual friends at The University of Oklahoma. Just a year before our love story truly began.
When I first met Cale, I knew he was something special. We started out as friends, although he may tell you differently because in his words, “we were never really good friends because I had a crush on her and didn’t want to be just friends.”
As time went on, our relationship continued to grow and Cale finally built up the courage to ask me on a first date. If you know me, you know I am a huge fan of Chilis, so when Cale asked to take me there, I was sold. It was even more special to me considering my parents went on their first date to Chilis, the stars were aligning just right.
After that first date, Cale and I were pretty inseparable. In between both of our school schedules and my cheer schedule, we spent much of our free time together (a lot of Sunday trips to Chilis). We “officially” began dating in October of 2018 on every OU students favorite weekend, OU/SAXET.
We were together while we both finished our degrees and graduated in May of 2020. Cale had a job lined up in Fort Worth, TX and I had no idea what I was doing. I moved back home to Edmond, OK and eventually landed a job where I would be in Dallas, TX. Before we could be together in the same state again, I moved to Atlanta, GA to train for my new job but long distance had nothing on us.
Fast forward to today, we are together again in Las Colinas, TX and could not be more thankful. We plan to hopefully own our own home in about a year, so we can finally get the Lab puppy we have been dreaming about for awhile.
To this day, I still remember the first time Cale texted me and first time he let it “slip” that he loves me.
We have already been through so much together and are so excited to see what else this amazing life has in store for us!
