To say the Lord works in mysterious ways, is an understatement. People always think it's funny when two people from Iowa end up meeting in Minnesota. Although at different times, we attended the same college, attended the same church, and even had the same friends. The year Angel moved to Minnesota was the same year I moved to Illinois, so we had just missed each other by a few months. Crazy enough, within a month of me moving back to Minnesota, Angel and I met at a volunteer appreciation event, through our church.

At the event, Angel knew my best friend and came over to say hi to her. He later revealed to me that he really came over to say hi to me but just needed an excuse to do so. 🙂 That night, we both played in a corn-hole tournament, where I nearly took his head off with a bag and spent the rest of the night talking. Only a few days later we went mini golfing for our first date (I kicked his butt, but let’s not focus on my competitive spirit) and the rest is history! For the rest of the summer, we spent almost every day together. During this time we quickly learned that we had quite a bit in common, but we were also very different. It was through our differences that we seemed to grow closer together. We have found our best friend and someone to pursue the Lord together. We are so excited to start this next chapter of marriage together!!
