KIDS - We love your kiddos, but this is an adults only event.  We’ve waited over 8 years for this, and we are ready to CELEBRATE with you all!  So get a sitter, and bring your party pants!

ATTIRE - Dress to Impress! The vibe is soft elegant summer.    Ladies: Think soft summery sorbet hues & pale pastels. Opt for luminous silks, floaty chiffons, and other soft textures. You can also reach for joyful prints, feminine florals, or romantic ruffles for an elevated statement to channel your most elegant self. Please kindly avoid dark tones such as black, dark brown, maroon. If you are attending our private ceremony, the area is quite grassy so you may want to steer clear of stiletto heels, and opt for a thick block heel, or wedge instead.   Gents: Come dressed in your most dapper suit! Go for light shades such as beige, taupe, peach, periwinkle, sage or olive green for the perfect sunny season color palette. Don’t shy away from accessorizing with pops of floral and plaid in your ties, pocket squares and socks. Linen and cotton suit blends are your best friend during a warm summer day. We would love to see you in lighter colored suites for the occasion so please avoid black, dark brown, maroon, etc. Light grays, and browns are perfect too!

Our Wedding

Kenny and I first met when he gave his brother Kurtis and I a ride after school when I was in 8th grade. Kurtis and I were close friends, and I soon realized how amazing their entire family was, including Kenny. By the time I was in high school Kenny and I hung out with the same group of friends and attended social gatherings together. He was a little wild at the time 😆 one of us was always in a relationship so we always kept things friendly. However, I always admired how kind and respectful he was. He was someone who always stood up for the underdog and protected people that needed it. He cared a lot about his friendships, and always made an effort to stay in touch with people! After high school life got busy for both of us and we ultimately lost touch for awhile. Fast forward a couple years… Kenny was working on a concrete job with my uncle, which led him to reach out to me. We decided to meet and catch up. Both of us innocently thinking we would just be catching up with an old friend, soon realized during our first conversations, that things were different this time.. We fell in love fast and haven’t looked back since ❤️ We both truly believe we entered back into each others lives at the perfect time. Not realizing the first few years of our relationship we would both experience enough loss to last a lifetime… Just months after we got together, my family dealt with a terrible tragedy involving my 1 year old nephew. He thankfully survived, but sustained a traumatic brain injury that would take years of therapy to overcome. Kenny stepped up only 6 months after us dating and helped father my nephew for years, selflessly. Myself nor my family ever expected that from him. He’s the most selfless person I’ve even known. He was a rock not only for me, but for my sister and family during that difficult time. He helped make sure my nephew had a childhood filled with constant love and support and we are all so appreciative of him. Only 6 months after that incident and just a year into our relationship, Kenny’s brother, had unfortunately passed away unexpectedly. Kenny and Kurtis were not just brothers, they were best friends. Their bond was truly something special, it was a heartbreaking loss. This was a tragedy that we had no idea how to get through at the time. We were lost.. and had no choice but to hold on to each other and find a way through. I tried to support him as best as I could. But I had no idea the pain he was feeling.. I was so close to my brothers and sisters, and couldn’t imagine losing one of them. The thought of that pain alone tore me to pieces.. my heart was so broken for him. Witnessing the person you love deal with the weight of that grief was not easy. It was a very dark time. Little did I know that I would soon learn the feeling of that grief.. Just a year and a half later on Easter morning, I received a call that my little brother and sister both passed away in a tragic car accident. My sister Cassie, only 16 months younger than I, and my brother Josiah, only 3 years younger, were my best friends. We were incredibly close. The pain of losing one is unfathomable.. and to hear I lost both at the same time was completely crippling. Kenny was there when I got the phone call, and was by my side every second. This wasn’t just my loss though, during our relationship Kenny had become close with my siblings, and had treated my brother as his own. He got him his first job as a carpenter with his dad Sean, which he soon excelled in and it became his passion and career choice. This was so tragic and unexpected. Kenny and I both had to relive that grief yet again, but this time the tables were turned. We don’t know how either of us would have made it through these moments without each other. We truly believe something brought us together to reconnect at just the right time.. knowing what was in store for us in the coming years. Throughout every terrible moment we have experienced in our lives, the one consistent thing was our relationship. It gave us stability and a safe place to grieve. No matter how dark the times were, our love remained strong and our bond grew to depths I didn’t think were possible with another person. Some say 7 years is a long time to wait to get engaged, but for us there couldn’t be a more perfect time. Every year together got us to where we are today. In those 7 years we’ve experienced things that some couples don’t experience in an entire lifetime.. and yet we persevered. Together we have found happiness, stability, and an incredibly strong appreciation for life. A lot of hard work went into us getting here, but we did it.. and we are SO excited to finally be able to celebrate our love with all of you❤️ If you’ve read through all of this, we appreciate you taking the time to hear our story. This was incredibly difficult to share, but I hope sharing it can help show others that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. There IS hope for happiness beyond grief. Our loved ones are not gone, they live on through us. We carry them with us in every milestone in life, and they give us strength to persevere. Although we would do anything to have them here on Earth with us, losing them gave us a gift that won’t go to waste.. A completely different appreciation for life that we otherwise wouldn’t have had. CAN I LEAVE MY VEHICLE OVERNIGHT AT THE VENUE? A. Yes, you may leave your vehicles parked overnight. There is also areas available for Camper/RV parking! Reach out to the bride or groom if you’d like to bring a Camper/RV so we can make sure you have a spot.
