Welcome BBQ June 27

June 27, 2025

On June 27, 2025, the welcome wedding day will begin at 11:00 AM with guests arriving at Sand Harbor for the BBQ celebration. As you arrive to Ramada Pavilion, welcome drinks will be provided ( feel free to BYOB for our lake day). At 12:00 PM, the BBQ buffet will open, offering classic BBQ favorites like burgers, hot dogs, and sides. Guests will enjoy their meals while mingling, and lawn games will be available. After lunch, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy water activities—swimming, paddleboarding, or simply relaxing by the lake. Please bring or rent your own supplies. There will also be plenty of time for photos and socializing with stunning lake views. At 5:00 PM, guests will start wrapping up at Sand Harbor, and the group will begin leaving for a two-hour break for dinner, with recommendations for nearby restaurants to enjoy a meal before heading to the brewery. At 7:30 PM, guests can start arriving at South of North Brewing Company. Here we will have time to visit and try out a local brewery. The night will wrap up around 9:30 PM to prepare for the celebration the next day!

ABOUT SAND HARBOR

The largest alpine lake in North America, Lake Tahoe is a cobalt blue lake atop the Sierra Nevada mountain range. On its eastern shores, gently sloping beaches, crystal-clear water and interesting rock formations allow for wonderfully sublime swimming and kayaking at Sand Harbor.

If you would like to rent a kayak or equipment Kayaking/Stand-up Paddleboarding: Kayaks, sailing kayaks and stand-up paddleboards can be rented during the summer from Clearly Tahoe Rentals. Guided tours are also available if you choose!

If you are interested in exploring around the area with a hike. Here are some options.

Hiking: The Sand Harbor to Memorial Point Trail is a short half-mile trail offers a link to Memorial Point and provides access to many secluded beaches and rock areas.

The Sand Point Nature Trail, a one-third-mile trail, is a handicap-accessible trail with interpretive signs and breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe.

The Tahoe East Shore Trail, dubbed as “America’s Most Beautiful Bikeway” is not only a spectacular way to recreate, but also provides direct access to public beaches, coves and trails along the picturesque Nevada shoreline.This 3-mile paved trail system connects Incline Village south to Sand Harbor —one of the four Lake Tahoe Nevada State Parks.

Is there parking?

Yes, there is limited parking available for our event. The group area at the Ramada Pavilion has 25 allotted parking spaces for guests, but availability is not guaranteed. These spots are for those that want to arrive early ! The bridal party plans to arrive around 8:00AM to set up and get situated. If you arrive before 10:30 AM, you can use one of the allotted 25 spots. After 10:30 AM, it is first come first serve for the park. I will send a mass text letting folks know any updates for the Welcome BBQ and parking if you plan to be there early and how many spots are left. If you are wanting to reserve your own parking outside of those 25 spots, reservations for parking must be made through www.reservenevada.com. You may start reserving parking spots starting March 29,2025. The reservation holder must be present in the vehicle and able to present a valid ID matching the name on the reservation. Processing Fee: A $5.00 fee will be charged for all reservations. Same-Day reservations are exempt from this fee. Same-day reservations can be made until 10:29 a.m. on the day of arrival. Entrance Fees: The park entrance fee is $10 for vehicles registered in Nevada and $15 for vehicles registered out-of-state. This fee will be added to your reservation at checkout. Any additional park fees can be paid upon arriving at the park.

South of North Brewing Company is a popular craft brewery located in South Lake Tahoe, known for its wide selection of locally brewed beers, a welcoming atmosphere, and a great spot for socializing and celebrations. They offer a variety of craft beers, from IPAs to stouts, and often feature small bites and snacks to pair with the drinks.

As for parking, South of North Brewing Company has limited parking available on-site, so it's a good idea to plan ahead. The brewery has a small parking lot that can fill up quickly, especially during busy times. There is also street parking available around the area, but be mindful of any local parking regulations or restrictions. It might be helpful to consider arranging carpools or using ride-sharing services to ensure everyone can park conveniently.

In the event that parking is tight, there are other parking options nearby, including public parking lots or street parking within walking distance of the brewery. It’s always a good idea to arrive early to secure a spot or explore the surrounding parking areas.
