General Questions

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

We’d prefer our guests to RSVP online, but if you’re unable to do so, or have trouble using the link we provide, feel free to reach out to Will - (215) 983-8764.

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?

All wedding events will place take at the beautiful Walker’s Overlook. The address is 8939 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville, MD 21793. The venue is wheelchair accessible. https://maps.app.goo.gl/XRzEWUyYGZ1PwjrQ9

Is there parking available near your wedding venue(s)?

Yes! Walker’s Overlook offers plenty of parking on-site for all of our guests. We want everyone to enjoy themselves and think it’s important to mention that you’re allowed to leave your car overnight on the property. You must return to get your car the next day (10/18/2024) by 10 AM. No exceptions!

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will be outside. Please dress accordingly, as it will take place in the grass, and in October! In the event of inclement weather, there’s a Plan B for the ceremony to take place under the tent on-site (we’re praying for sunny skies!). The reception will be held under said tent. There are portable heaters/air-conditioners if the weather requires, and side walls that can be put up or down if needed.

What is the wedding day itinerary?

While we don’t want to give away all of the thoughtful planning we’ve done together, we understand that some folks might want a general idea of what to expect. Please see below ESTIMATED timeline of a few events:

3:30PM: Guests will begin to arrive. (Unless you have been asked to arrive earlier, please do not arrive earlier than this)

4:00PM: Ceremony will begin

4:30PM: Cocktail Hour will begin

5:20PM: Guests will begin to enter reception tent. (Please do not enter the tent before this time unless given OK by someone in charge)

6:00PM: Guests will begin to be served dinner.

7:00PM: Hit the dance floor and get your groove on!

7:45ish: Time to cut the cake!

8:00ish: JUST DANCE!

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We ask that our ceremony be completely unplugged. This means that we do NOT want you to use cell phones during the ceremony at all. We’ve hired an AMAZING group of photographers to capture our special day, and we don’t want anyone to interfere with them getting the perfect shot! We ask that you turn your phones off, put them on do-not-disturb/silent mode, or leave them in your car until cocktail hour.

Do you have a wedding registry?

We're looking forward to celebrating with you on our big day! Having you attend our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, if you're looking for wedding gift ideas, please check out the ‘Registry’ tab. There, you will find that we also have a honeymoon fund that you can contribute to.

Where will wedding updates be posted?

You’re in the right place to get our wedding updates! Come to our website to get the skinny.

Wedding Dress Code

What is the dress code for your wedding?

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail or semi-formal attire. We suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with tie, and that women wear a midi, knee-length or floor length dress or dressy separates. We want everyone to be comfortable enough to break out your best dance moves while also looking your best!

Is there anything that I should not wear?

WE ASK THAT YOU DON’T WEAR ANY SHADE OF WHITE AS WE’RE RESERVING THAT FOR THE BRIDE. Also, NO jeans or t-shirts please!

Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?

It’s not required but we recommend fall colors to go with the vibes! Think deep oranges, greens, and reds.

Plus-Ones & Children

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Our goal is to keep our very special day as intimate as possible! With that being said, we’re choosing to celebrate with our closest family and friends. Invitations specifically list the person(s) who are invited. If a “+1” or any additional names aren’t on the invitation, that means the invitation is only for the person who received it. Thanks for understanding and respecting our wishes.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

While we love your little ones, we want all parents to be able to relax and enjoy themselves. Yay for date night! If your children(s) names are not included on your personalized invitation, we kindly ask that you leave them at home or make other arrangements for them.

Menu & Dietary Restrictions

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

We’ll be serving hors d’oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a BBQ buffet for dinner. Get ready for meat, meat, and more meat!!! As most of you know the Bride is on a gluten-free diet, and the majority of the food served on our wedding day is gluten-free (there are very few exceptions, which will be pointed out on the day). If you’re an invited guest with dietary restrictions other than an intolerance to gluten and are wondering if we can accommodate, please feel free to reach out to Will (215) 983-8764.

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Please reach out to Will (215) 983-8764 to confirm your dietary restriction(s) can be met.

Will there be an open bar?

There will be a limited open bar. We’ll plan to offer a selection of drinks and beverages based on our personal taste. We ask that you please refrain from bringing any other outside alcohol, as this is not allowed. Per the venue, if you do so, you may be asked to leave the premises.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Our ceremony will start promptly at 4 PM. We kindly ask our guests to arrive NO EARLIER THAN 3:30 PM. If you do happen to arrive early, you may be asked to remain in your vehicle until closer to the ceremony time.
