Michael is passionate about cars and works as a car detailer. He has a big heart for animals, loves video games, and has a soft spot for pandas. Kenzie runs a small business and has a deep love for art, animals, and all things panda and bear-related.
Their journey began in 2019 when they met through a dating app. they connected instantly and officially started dating on March 23rd, 2019. Although they were long-distance for the first three months, they decided to meet in person for Kenzie's upcoming graduation and birthday—and something just clicked. It felt right, like they were meant to be.
After spending time together in North Bay, Kenzie visited Michael’s family, and soon after, they were back to long distance for a short while. But not for long—Michael made the big move to North Bay to be together.
In 2020, life threw them some challenges that tested their relationship, but ultimately brought us closer. A move to Lindsay and the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic added more obstacles, so they made the difficult decision to go long-distance once again until things settled.
By 2021, Michael returned to North Bay, this time they adopted our beloved hamster, Ween. They later adopted another hamster, Todd, who sadly passed away, and soon after they welcomed our other hamster, Ddot, into their lives.
In 2023, we experienced heartbreaking losses—first Kenzie's grandma, then Kenzie's father less than a year later. Through grief and healing, their bond only grew stronger.
In August 2024, they added a new member to their little family—their bunny, Jinx. Today, they share their home with Jinx—their love for animals continues to be a big part of who they are.
Along the way, they’ve shared countless fun memories—visiting aquariums, experiencing firsts together (like going to the casino and losing—oops!), Kenzie teaching Michael how to drive, late nights playing video games and Pokémon, long walks, beach days, camping trips, and so much more. These moments have brought them joy, laughter, and a deeper connection.
Then, on their annual anniversary trip in March 2025, Michael proposed to Kenzie—on the exact day they started dating, March 23rd. Of course, she said yes!
And now… here they are, ready to start this next chapter of their journey—getting married, surrounded by the people they love most. 💙
