We meet in July of 2016, on Eharmony. Both of us were very skeptical about online dating, but we both wanted to try something different. I, Keri first noticed Shawns picture and was like, "ooh he's cute". And I kept going back to his picture but to be honest was little nervous to be the one to make the first move. Well one day to my surprise he messaged me. We started the questionnaire portion on the website. Next thing I knew Shawn wanted to skip the next set of questions and go straight to emails. So, I accepted, and we started emailing back and forth next thing I knew I gave him my phone number. I didn't even make him work for it!!!! So eventually Shawn asked me out. Every date I have been on I never let them pick me up. But something felt right, and I let him pick me up. After I gave him my address, I remember saying to myself "what in the hell did I just DO". So, I got ready for this date. My little brother was babysitting Mason for me, and I told him go lock yourself in the back bedroom just in case this guy is a psycho!!! (Which he is not) He picked me up, was such a gentleman. Opened the car door for me (which he still does to this day) and our first date was dinner at BJ's. We sat and talked the evening away. After dinner Shawn said, "I don't want to take you home yet, let's have the most cliche first date, want to go see a movie". So off we went we got the last two tickets for opening night of Suicide Squad had to sit second row from the screen. He took me home walked me to my door gave me a hug and left. I immediately called me best friend Kati first to tell her that I'm home but, also to tell how amazing my night was. We went out the next night I drove over an hour to him (he lived in Coolage) that was a drive!! We went to pick up pizza and if you have been to Coolage ever you know there isn't much to do out there. So, we had to drive 30 mins to get the pizza. I didn't realize that I need to pack snacks to go to pick up dinner. On the way back as we drive through the desolate desert, I looked at Shawn and ask, "so is this were you kill me". And we both started laughing, Night was amazing just hanging out talking, laughing, it was great. We went and looked out at the stars. The sky was full, and I felt so happy and safe with this man I had just meet. So, we started dating. Getting together was hard do to for us living so far away from each other, but we made it work. One day Shawn came to me and ask if he could meet Mason. Which threw me off, it was so soon and I'm super protective of Mason. Shawn said, "I want to ask you to be my girlfriend but out of respect to Mason I want to ask him and get his permission first, since he has been the man in your life." (que the aww's) So we meet for lunch, and he asked Mason, Mason responded with "if you hurt my mom watch out, I know wrestling." From that day on we have been together. Moved in together in 2017 and started our lives. Our children became brothers and it all kind of fell into place. Now I'm not saying it's been all sunshine and rainbows. We've had our ups and downs, and our knockout drag outs, but we come out the other side stronger than we were before. He brings calm to my chaos, sometimes causes the chaos. But what man doesn't!!!!
