Kerri & Andres

I’ve tried to type this so many times and something always goes wrong or it gets deleted.

IS THIS THE WORLD TELLING ME I TYPE TOO MUCH AND NO-ONE CARES? Haha

I will keep it short and sweet.

Andres and I met Labor Day weekend, 2020 during the wonderful world of Covid.

I was away working on myself and taking a break from the chaos of life, while he was away with his roommate and friends. A low key, Saturday fire pit that I was invited to by the inn keeper (Cindy, who has become one of my favorite people in this world!) turned into meeting “Andre” and staying up with a group of people until 3 am!

I never would think of meeting someone while I was away. I’ve been away many times and that’s not a thing that happens to me haha… but we enjoyed eachother’s company. We parted ways that night, but met up at the fire pit the following night too!

we both left Monday and headed home. I truly didn’t think I’d hear from him after that weekend, but he called me as soon as he got home Monday night. Then Tuesday, Wednesday….

I didn’t know what to do! How to feel! What was Happening! After ending a 14 year relationship I had no experience with this! (Good lord. Sad to say at 31! But truth!)

We continued to talk. Said we would take it slow and see what happens.

in October, I met his step dad (his mom was in Colombia at the time). He met my nanny kids, asked me to be his girlfriend and met my parents. November he met my sister and nephews. His mom came back from Colombia and we hit it off right away!

we got a guinea pig in December, who unfortunately died quickly. A few months later we got Charlie and Wilbur, another set of guinea pigs! They just turned 3. In December 2021, we adopted a puppy! Benny is 2.5 years old now!

The rest is pretty much history!

we went on trips, moved in together, got engaged in Hawaii within 18 months. We decided to have a VERY small ceremony 11/2022 with his grandparents and close family and bridal party. We were so glad and blessed we were able to do this because sadly, 8 months later, Andres’ grandfather passed away at 98 years old. Now we are excited to celebrate with everyone with a bigger celebration!

we are thankful everyday for our families, and the friends we have! We truly love you all and feel so lucky!
