Our Wedding

To accurately tell our story, we need to rewind a few years. So sit back, grab some popcorn and let's take a trip back to 1978. Tyler's mom and Kerri's mom, both named Pam (and if you know them, you know just how fitting this is), worked at Lanier Insurance Agency in their early twenties. In the years of working together, the Pams quickly became inseparable, so much so, they were at the birth of each other's children (oh, the irony!). Growing up, Tyler and Kerri both have very vivid memories of answering the phone with the other Pam on the line asking to talk to their mom. However, as life got busy with Tyler in baseball and Kerri in ballet, it was common for the Pams to get together for some much needed girls time, without the children.Now, let's fast-forward about 19 years. After a long battle with cancer, Tyler's dad passed away in November of 2008. Kerri was home from college for Thanksgiving break and felt it was important to join her parents for his memorial, as Pam had been such a large part of her mom's life. Kerri and Tyler met for the second time that day (there are pictures that involve a 3 year old charmer in a Ninja Turtles watch and a 1 year old chick with a bob haircut, but you'll have to wait for that). Leaving the service that day, Pam (Carson) asked Kerri, "Tyler Anderson sure is cute, isn't he?" Kerri still remembers sitting in the back seat of that car and saying "YEAH HE IS!" Over the next few weeks, Tyler and Kerri stayed in touch and began what they thought was a wonderful friendship. Neither of them were looking for a relationship as Tyler was approaching graduation at Georgia College and Kerri still had a couple years at Auburn (War Eagle!) However, it quickly became obvious this was different… it was something special. Looking back now we like to say Tyler's dad set us up that day in November, and this was the beginning of a plan far better than we could've dreamed.After 2 more years of college, a few years starting Tyler's career in real estate, and back to school in Augusta for Kerri to become a Physician Assistant, they were finally both living back in Atlanta, in the same city, for good. On May 13, 2016, while on vacation in Hilton Head with Kerri's parents, Tyler asked Kerri to spend forever with him. We're not sure if we were more excited or our moms were to be celebrating this next step. Perhaps, it was Kerri's dad who was the most excited, considering Tyler kept him on his toes after asking him for his only daughter's hand in marriage in SEPTEMBER, only 8 short months before the question was finally asked. Exactly one year after that special night on the beach, we are so excited to have our friends and family join us at the celebration of our union and the beginning of our forever!
