My dad introduced me to Caleb four years ago while we were both working on the summer grounds crew at Taylor University. (He likes to take 100% credit for Caleb and I's relationship - ha!) Although I was only an incoming freshman, I was determined to befriend the attractive, senior baseball player. Somehow I managed to impress him, because after a year of casually getting to know each other Caleb asked me to be his girlfriend. A few weeks before, he graduated from Taylor and moved two and a half hours south to start his job. We both knew that we would have to overcome the challenges of a long distance relationship but decided it was well worth it. We made it our goal to get school/job work done during the week so that we could spend our weekends together. Every second spent with Caleb is one that I treasure - we have so many fun memories together. Two and a half years into our relationship (this past December) he proposed on the beautiful Greek island, Santorini, while traveling during Christmas break. It did not take me long to realize that he was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with - he has completely surpassed all expectations I had for a future husband and has become my role model through his acts of respect, selflessness, and grace. I look forward to marriage and my future with Caleb as we keep our Lord the center of our relationship.
