We are embracing the desert setting for our welcome party and asking everyone to join us and dress "western chic" - think boots, hats, and a touch of rustic charm. Dress comfortably but stylishly. Cowboy boots, sundresses, denim and bolo ties are all welcome. Just be ready for a night under the stars! The ceremony and reception are formal. We suggest men wear a suit in any color and women wear a formal cocktail dress or pantsuit. Let Kerri know if you need inspiration pictures! Note that the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside and we will move inside for the reception. Ladies - the ceremony is on the golf course, you might want to consider that with your shoe selection.

In April, the weather in Scottsdale is usually warm and sunny during the day and pleasantly cool in the evenings. Daytime temperatures average in the mid-80s while evenings can dip into the low 60s. We recommend bringing a layer for the evening!

The hotels we selected for the room blocks are very close and there is plenty of parking at the venue. If you are staying at the Hyatt, they do have a shuttle available you can coordinate. For the welcome party, we are located about 30-45 minutes away from the hotels. We have booked a bus to make things easier for all. More details to come but the bus will pick up at both Sonesta and Hyatt around 4pm. Then will take you back to the hotel around 8:15pm when the party is over.

A welcome party is a kick-off to the wedding festivities! It is a chance for us to greet all of our loved ones, spend time together before the big day, and set the tone for a fun and memorable weekend. Think of it as an opportunity to mix, mingle and relax with great food, drinks and company. We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
