Our journey began on February 6, 2022, when Dan's Bumble profile caught Kerrigan's attention and earned him not only a right swipe, but an ever so original, 'Hey!' After a few days of messaging and some spirited Wordle matches, Dan persuaded Kerrigan to join him for some drinks and a delightful charcuterie board at the Hertel Avenue staple, Mes Que.

Although the charcuterie was delicious, it was Kerrigan's beautiful eyes that captured Dan's heart on that memorable first date. Their connection deepened as they enjoyed several more dates with Dan reintroducing Kerrigan to the charm of Buffalo after her years of living in North Carolina.

Following their third date at Bar Bill Tavern, both of them exchanged small, yet meaningful gifts: Dan chose a stuffed turtle for Kerrigan's dog, Gracie, while Kerrigan gifted Dan a Livestrong bracelet - a prized relic from his middle school days. Dan still keeps the bracelet in his drawer as a reminder of their wonderful beginnings. Unfortunately, Gracie's enthusiasm for her turtle led to its demise within minutes of her receiving it.

After a few months of dating, Dan and Kerrigan embarked on a weekend getaway to Toronto where Dan officially asked her to be his girlfriend. Kerrigan had known for quite some time, however, that Dan was the one who had captured her heart.
