Our Wedding

<p>We both grew up in Hurley, MS. We attended the same school, but Brenton never knew I existed (probably a good thing because I wasn't looking too cute during those days). We didn't really interact until summer of 2017. I added him through snapchat while adding a lot of other people from Hurley. We responded to each other's snapchat stories here and there. Nothing serious, until one August night he asked me out on a date as a joke thinking nothing would come of it. To his surprise, I said yes! We talked and went on outings together until September 22,  2017 when he officially asked me to be his girlfriend. We then started our long 3.5 year long distance relationship as I finished college. We grew up a lot over the years and grew closer. April 2, 2021, we traveled to Cherokee Rock Village in Collinsville, AL for a camping trip. ( This weekend was suppose to be below freezing at night , but Brenton refused to reschedule. And by this time I had been wanting to get married for like a year now so I knew what was about to happen next). We arrived to the camp site. I had barely even put my bag down, and Brenton rushed me to the top of this bolder to a beautiful view without letting me look around on the way. That is where he asked me to marry him, and of course I said yes to forever with my best friend.</p>

Things to Do

The first man that showed me what unconditional love was! He has never been a big talker, but he has shown our family how much he loves us through providing everything we have ever wanted and needed. One of my favorite childhood memories is waving goodbye to him every morning from the front porch as he drove off to work. I have always been and always will be a daddy's girl.

I wouldn't be here without this woman. She has made me into who I am today.  She taught me how to work hard and how to love others. She has picked me up and supported me through so much. She has driven across the country to be there for me when I needed countless of times. She has become one of my best friends. I am just a younger version of her (My nickname when I was little was "Little Heather").  I use to get so angry when I was called that, but now I hope others see me as an extension of her. She is loving, caring, and selfless. She never stops trying to do for others, especially her family. I hope to be as good of a mom as her one day. 

Heather Higginbotham

My role model. From the time I could speak I began trying to be as good of a man as he is. Even when he might not have realized it, I was always watching and learning. Doing my best to copy him, and be just like he was. He taught me everything from baiting a hook to being a respectful and honest man/husband. He always pushed me to be the best version of me I could be and loved me unconditionally through every stage of my life. He was the loudest person in the stands (and near the goalpost) rooting me on and I honestly could not think of a better man to call my dad. 

Leonard Pugh

I could write a novel about this woman. She has always encouraged me to explore my curiosity in life and keep an open mind about everything.  She has been there for every important moment in my life from school plays to sports she was there. She taught me patience, love, kindness, and compassion through her actions. She sacrificed so much of her own time, money, and I'm sure happiness to give me the best life possible. There is nothing close to the love a mother has for her child, and I could say the same about the love a child has for their mom. 

Ginger Pugh

My bestest friend in the whole entire world. We met in 7th grade when I told her I didn't have any friends in my class. We decided then that we were friends, and we haven't separated since. She's been a part of every high and every low. We got through middle school, high school, junior college, MSU, first heartbreaks, and every bad decision together. She is the friend every one in the world needs. I know if I call, she'd drop everything to come to my side. She has heard every single thing me and Brenton have ever went through (probably too much info at times). She may not always have advice for me, but she is always there to listen. Brenton had to prove himself to her during the first.. about 2 years, but he finally proved himself. It was no question who my Maid of Honor had to be. 

Haley Adkison

I first met Anna while dancing as a Perkette at MGCCC. She is easily the most selfless person I have ever met. She instantly became one of my soulmates. My favorite memories were all the trips to hattiesburg (especially for halloween), naps in my dorm room, and every game night I got to dance beside her. She was there when I first started dating Brenton, and she gave me a lot of advice that helped mine and Brenton's relationship flourish. I knew if I were to ever marry Brenton, Anna Banana absolutely had to be by my side.

My best friend from birth! She has literally been there since my first breath. She has been one of my biggest fans since the beginning. I know she loves me unconditionally and only wants what is best for me. It is no question that I need her up there with me. 

Kelsey Griffin

Molly takes up 1/3 of my heart. We got her from the mobile flea market fall 2014, and she’s been by my side ever since. I treat her as my baby and my best friend. Other events came up so some friends couldn’t make it to the wedding, so molly is stepping up to take their place!

The man. The myth. The legend. I have known Beaux since we were in elementary school, but we didn't truly bond until late middle school. From loud nights gaming till dawn, to getting into trouble on the weekends, he has always been there for me. He is a truly incredible young man who has been an even more incredible friend. I'd say he's as close to a brother as I could get.

Wyatt was a close runner-up to best man, and for good reason. I remember a few summers in high school where I practically lived with him and his family. He helped me with everything from soccer to my walk with Christ, and everything in between. Wyatt would give you the shirt off his own back if he knew you needed it, and for that I'm proud to call him friend.

This man has one of the gentlest and kindest souls. If there is one thing, I have learned from him it's how to truly be Christ-like. Ryan is one of the few people I would call if I was in a bind, knowing he'd buy a plane ticket to come help me out. He and I shared a bond of appreciating a good bowl of cereal, and the rest was history.

An absolute unit. Johnny has been another one of my closest friends since high school. He was an example in the gym, and for a while, in church. Johnny showed me how important it was to just live your life and not worry so much about how other people perceived you. To be loud when others are quiet, laugh when things get hard, and just enjoy the limited amount of time we are all given on this earth.

Hobie Harris has taught me many things in life. He introduced me to (and hooked me on) the wonderful world of anime, which I hate him for. He taught me that it's ok to spend money on the things you want in life, that sometimes it's ok to treat yourself.  Although he might be quiet at first, he is actually one of the kindest, talkative and most adventurous young man I've ever met.

These little munchkins are such a big part of our family. They definitely had to be there to celebrate Brenton officially becoming a part of it. You will probably find Lily playing minecraft and Rose singing all the songs from Frozen and Frozen 2 ( don't be surprised if she pretends to be Elsa while walking down the aisle).  Bad- boy Gavin is cute but don't be deceived. He loves balls, so I won't be surprised if he throws the ring box down the aisle. They are a mess, but I love being their "Nono".
